Հաղթանակ Շահումյան. «Ամեն կոնկրետ դեպքի համար հուշարձան դնելը լավ միտք չէ». «Փաստ»

«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Վաստակավոր նկարիչ, քանդակագործ Հաղթանակ Շահումյանի կարծիքով Երևանի բոլոր այգիները խաչքարերով և այլ հուշարձաններով նմանվել են գերեզմանոցի, այնինչ այգիները մարդկանց համար հանգստանալու, առօրյայից կտրվելու միջավայր պետք է լինեն:

«Այգիները չպետք է խաչքարերով և նմանատիպ այլ քանդակներով տխրեցնել: Աշխարհում կա «այգիների քանդակներ» հասկացողությունը, որը հատուկ մարդու կյանքը թեթևացնելու նպատակ է հետապնդում»,– «Փաստ»–ի հետ զրույցում ասաց քանդակագործը:

Խոսելով մայրաքաղաքում՝ Շահումյանի արձանի ետնամասում մարտի 1–ի զոհերի հուշարձան տեղադրելու առաջարկի մասին՝ Հ. Շահումյանը նշեց, որ մեր պատմության ընթացքում այնքան շատ են նման դրվագներ եղել, որ եթե բոլոր դրվագներին նվիրված հուշարձաններն այգիներում տեղադրվեն, ապա Երևանում հավանաբար այլևս տեղ չի մնա:

«Դա բավականին նուրբ հարց է, քաղաքական ենթատեքստ ունի, որը նաև մեր դեռևս չկայացած երկրի ընդվզումների հետևանք է: Այն, ինչ կատարվել է մարտի 1–ին, մեր ժողովրդի բացթողումների հետևանքն է նաև: Նման միջադեպեր բոլոր երկրներում էլ եղել են, բայց, օրինակ՝ Փարիզում չեք տեսնի հուշարձան, որը միայն մեկ դեպքի վերաբերի: Օրինակ՝ հիմնահատակ քանդված Բաստիլի ամրոցի տեղում մի խոշոր սիմվոլիկ կոթող է տեղադրված: Մեր մի քիչ գավառական մտածողությունը հանգեցնում է նրան, որ ամեն ինչին հատվածային ենք մոտենում, բայց ամեն դեպքում դժվարանում եմ ասել, թե արժե մեր այդ՝ մարտի 1–ի զոհերի ցավը, որը բոլորիս ամոթն է, դարձնել հուշարձան և թողնել ապագա սերունդներին»,– ասաց քանդակագործը:

Հ. Շահումյանի կարծիքով ամեն կոնկրետ դեպքի համար հուշարձան դնելն այնքան էլ լավ միտք չէ: Դրա փոխարեն, կարող է մի կոթող լինել, որը կխորհրդանշի մեր բոլոր կորուստները:

«Ես անգամ դեմ էի, որ Արամ Մանուկյանի արձանը կապվեր Հայաստանի անկախության հետ: Ես կարծում եմ, անկախությունը պետք է պետականության սիմվոլով նշանավորվի, ոչ թե անհատով, քանի որ այդ հաղթանակն ամբողջ ժողովրդի մասնակցությամբ է տեղի ունեցել: Ինչ վերաբերում է օրինակ Վուդրո Վիլսոնի հուշարձանը տեղադրելու առաջարկին, ապա ես դրան կողմ եմ, քանի որ Հայաստանի ներկա արտաքին քաղաքական խնդիրները վերհանելու առումով նման արձան ունենալը մայրաքաղաքում նաև ահազանգ կլինի բոլոր այն միջազգային կառույցների համար, որոնք ժամանակին իրենց պարտավորությունները մեր հանդեպ չեն կատարել»,– ասաց Հ. Շահումյանը:
