Ճապոնացի գիտնականները լաբորատոր պայմաններում հեռացրել են Դաունի համախտանիշ առաջացնող ավելորդ քրոմոսոմը

Ճապոնացի գիտնականները CRISPR գեների խմբագրման գործիքի միջոցով լաբորատոր պայմաններում հեռացրել են Դաունի համախտանիշի առաջացման պատճառ հանդիսացող 21-րդ ավելորդ քրոմոսոմը, հայտնում է iz.ru-ն:

«Ճապոնիայի Միե համալսարանի գիտնականները՝ բժիշկ Ռյոտարո Հաշիձումեի գլխավորությամբ, առաջընթացի են հասել՝ օգտագործելով CRISPR-Cas9 գեների խմբագրման գործիքը՝ Դաունի համախտանիշ առաջացնող 21-րդ ավելորդ քրոմոսոմը հեռացնելու համար», - ասվում է հոդվածում։

Նշվում է, որ քրոմոսոմի հեռացումը կարող է վերականգնել բջջային նորմալ գործառույթը՝ մինչև 37.5% հաջողության մակարդակով։ Բացի այդ, գիտնականները հաստատել են, որ նորմալ քրոմոսոմներ ունեցող բջիջներում գեների արտահայտման օրինաչափությունների, բջիջների աճի տեմպի և հակաօքսիդանտային կարողության նման հատկանիշները նույնպես վերականգնվել են նորմալ մակարդակի։

Չնայած Դաունի համախտանիշի բուժման ոլորտում այս առաջընթացին, ներկայումս այս մեթոդը չի կարող կիրառվել մշտական հիմունքներով, քանի որ վիրահատության ընթացքում կա այլ քրոմոսոմների վնասման ռիսկ։
