ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը ABC-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է, որ իր շնորհիվ է, որ ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը պատրաստ է դադարեցնել մարտերն Ուկրաինայում։ Նրա պնդմամբ՝ Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև հակամարտությունը սկսվել է Ջո Բայդենի նախագահության պատճառով։

Միևնույն ժամանակ, Թրամփը չի բացառել, որ խաղաղության կնքման հարցում Պուտինը կարող է այսպես ասած «մի փոքր խաղալ իր հետ»:

«Նա կարող էր մի փոքր խառնել իմ գլուխը: Բայց կարծում եմ՝ նա ցանկանում է դադարեցնել պատերազմը: Եթե ես չլինեի, կարծում եմ, որ նա կցանկանար տիրել ամբողջ երկիրը: Կարծում եմ՝ Պուտինը ցանկանում էր ամբողջ Ուկրաինան, և եթե ես չհաղթեի ընտրություններում, նա ամբողջ Ուկրաինան գրաված կլիներ: Ես հավատացած եմ, որ իմ պատճառով է, որ նա պատրաստ է դադարեցնել կռիվը», - ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը:
