Թրամփը Եգիպտոսի նախագահին ասել է, որ ԱՄՆ նավերը պետք է անխոչընդոտ անցնեն Սուեզի ջրանցքով. WSJ

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ապրիլի սկզբին Եգիպտոսի իր գործընկեր Աբդել Ֆաթահ ալ Սիսիի հետ զրույցում ասել է, որ ցանկանում է հասնել Սուեզի ջրանցքով ամերիկյան նավերի ազատ անցման։ Այս մասին հայտնում է The Wall Street Journal-ը (WSJ)՝ վկայակոչելով աղբյուրներ։

Ըստ նրանց՝  Թրամփը ասել է, որ ԱՄՆ-n ցանկանում է ապահովել Եգիպտոսի աջակցությունը հութիների դեմ գործողություններում՝ ռազմական օգնության և հետախուզության փոխանակման միջոցով: Նա նշել է, որ դա կարող է բարելավել Սուեզի ջրանցքով երթևեկությունը։ Այնուամենայնիվ,  Ալ Սիսին հակադարձել է՝ Գազայում հրադադարը անվանելով «հութիներին կանգնեցնելու լավագույն միջոցը»:

ԱՄՆ նախագահի առաջարկը հնչում է Եմենի հութիների կողմից Կարմիր ծովում ամերիկյան, իսրայելական և բրիտանական նավերի վրա շարունակվող հարձակումների ֆոնին, որոնք հանգեցրել են ջրանցքով նավագնացության նվազմանը և Եգիպտոսի եկամուտների նվազմանը: WSJ-ը գրում է, որ գարնանը Վաշինգտոն կատարած այցի ժամանակ Եգիպտոսի պաշտոնյաներին զգուշացվել է, որ ԱՄՆ վարչակազմը կարող է զգալիորեն կրճատել Կահիրեին տնտեսական աջակցությունը։

Ապրիլի 27-ին Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է Եգիպտոսի կողմից վերահսկվող Սուեզի ջրանցքով ԱՄՆ-ի առևտրական և ռազմական նավերի անմաքս անցումը թույլ տալու անհրաժեշտության մասին: Նա նաև համոզված է, որ Ատլանտյան և Խաղաղ օվկիանոսները կապող Պանամայի ջրանցքով անցնելիս ամերիկյան նավերի համար նույնպես չպետք է մաքսային խոչընդոտներ լինեն։
