Մհեր Ավետիսյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է․ 

Հայոց Ցեղասպանությունը անհերքելի փաստ է։ Այն որևէ մեկը չի կարող հերքել, դա մեր ժողովրդի մեծագույն ողբերգությունն է, որը մենք պետք է միշտ հիշենք սերնդեսերունդ, բայց նաև պետք է գիտակցենք, որ հիշել Հայոց Ցեղասպանությունը նախևառաջ նշանակում է, որ մենք՝ որպես ժողովուրդ, պետք է մեր մեջ ուժ գտնենք հզոր պետություն կառուցելու, որպեսզի այլևս նոր ցեղասպանություններ մեր ժողովրդի կյանքում տեղի չունենան, և մեր պետությունը պարտավոր է այնպիսի արտաքին քաղաքականություն վարել, որ Հայոց Ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչումը երբևէ տարբեր պետությունների և գեոպոլիտիկ ուժերի կողմից չօգտագործվի որպես գործիք՝ Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականության և Հայոց պետականության վրա ազդելու։

Հայոց Ցեղասպանության հիշողությունը նաև պետք է չխանգարի Հայաստանի Հանրապետության՝ որպես պետություն, հարաբերություններին՝ որևէ պետության հետ, այդ թվում նաև Թուրքիայի հետ հարաբերություններ կառուցելիս, քանզի եթե մենք այս գիտակցումը չկարողանանք որպես քաղաքական օրակարգ ձևակերպել, միշտ կլինեն պետություններ, որոնք իրենց շահերից ելնելով կամ իրենց գեոպոլիտիկ շահերից ելնելով կօգտագործեն Հայոց Ցեղասպանությունը՝ հօգուտ իրենց և ի դեմս հայ ժողովրդի ու Հայաստանի Հանրապետության։
