ԱՄՆ-ում դադարեցնում են Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ դատական գործերի ընթացքը

ԱՄՆ շրջանային դատարանի դատավոր Տանյա Չատքանը դադարեցրել է Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ ընթացող դատական գործերի ընթացքը՝ կապված նախագահական ընտրություններում նրա տարած հաղթանակի հետ։ Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, վկայակոչելով National Public Radio-ն, այս որոշումը կայացվել է՝ հաշվի առնելով ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարության քաղաքականությունը, ըստ որի՝ պաշտոնավարող նախագահներին չի կարելի քրեական պատասխանատվության ենթարկել։ 

Հատուկ դատախազ Ջեք Սմիթը անցյալ տարի մեղադրանքներ էր ներկայացրել Թրամփի դեմ՝ 2020 թվականի ընտրությունների արդյունքները փոխելու փորձերի և Մար-ա-Լագոյում գաղտնի փաստաթղթերի ապօրինի պահպանման կապակցությամբ։ Սակայն Թրամփի հաղթանակից հետո Սմիթի թիմը վերանայում է գործի ընթացքը՝ արդարադատության նախարարության դիրքորոշման համաձայն, ըստ որի՝ նախագահները պաշտոնավարման ընթացքում ունեն պաշտպանություն քրեական մեղադրանքներից։

Դատարան ներկայացված դիմումում Սմիթի թիմը խնդրել է չեղարկել հետագա դատական նիստերի ժամանակացույցը՝ նշելով, որ անհրաժեշտ է գնահատել իրավիճակը և որոշել հետագա քայլերը։ Դատավոր Չատքանը բավարարել է այս խնդրանքը և պարտավորեցրել դատախազներին ներկայացնել իրենց առաջարկությունը մինչև դեկտեմբերի 2-ը։ 

Դոնալդ Թրամփը, որն այս երկու գործերը քննադատել է՝ դրանք որակելով որպես քաղաքականապես մոտիվացված, ավելի վաղ հայտարարել էր, որ ընտրվելու դեպքում հատուկ դատախազ Ջեք Սմիթին կազատի պաշտոնից։

Սա առաջին դեպքն է ԱՄՆ պատմության մեջ, երբ նախկին նախագահը քրեական հետապնդման է ենթարկվել, և այժմ դատական գործերը դադարեցվում են՝ հաշվի առնելով նրա կարգավիճակը՝ որպես ընտրված նախագահ։
