Լոնդոնը սառեցրել է Թբիլիսիի հետ ռազմավարական երկխոսությունը

10 տարվա մեջ առաջին անգամ Մեծ Բրիտանիան որոշել է սառեցնել ռազմավարական Ուորդրոփի երկխոսությունը, որն Միացյալ Թագավորությունն ամեն տարի նախարարների մակարդակով իրականացնում էր Վրաստանի հետ։ Բացի այդ, բրիտանական կողմը չեղարկել է պաշտպանության ոլորտում բարձր մակարդակի առաջիկա բանակցությունները և դադարեցրել է կիբերանվտանգության ծրագիրը։ Այս մասին հոկտեմբերի 15-ին InterpressNews առցանց հրատարակությանը տված հարցազրույցում ասել է Վրաստանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպան Գարեթ Ուորդը։

Միաժամանակ դեսպանը հույս է հայտնել, որ հոկտեմբերի 26-ին Վրաստանում կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից հետո երկրի կառավարությունը կվերադառնա արևմտամետ կուրսի և Լոնդոնի և Թբիլիսիի միջև վստահությունը կվերականգնվի։

«Ես ակնկալում էի, որ մենք միասին կաշխատենք՝ ամրապնդելու Վրաստանի դիմադրողականությունը և մեր ընդհանուր բարգավաճումը, սակայն անցած տարվա ընթացքում Վրաստանի կառավարությունն այլ ընթացք բռնեց, և Թբիլիսիում  իմ գտնվելու առաջին ամիսներին ես ստիպված էի հստակեցնել մեր մտահոգությունները ժողովրդավարության անկման և հակաարևմտյան հռետորաբանության վերաբերյալ։ Հուսով եմ, որ Վրաստանի կառավարությունը կփոխի իր մոտեցումը, ինչն ինձ թույլ կտա վերականգնել լավատեսությունը»,- լրագրողներին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է բրիտանացի դիվանագետը։

Ուորդը նշել է, որ Լոնդոնին մտահոգում է Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի կողմից քաղաքացիական հասարակության գործունեությունը սահմանափակող օրենքի ընդունումը (խոսքը օտարերկրյա ազդեցության թափանցիկության մասին օրենքի մասին է-Խմբ.)»:

«Մենք հիասթափված էինք, երբ «Վրացական երազանք»-ի առաջնորդները սկսեցին դավադրության տեսություններ քարոզել և ենթադրել, որ արևմտյան գործընկերները խարխլում են Վրաստանը: Մենք ցնցվեցինք, երբ «Վրացական երազանք»-ն ընդդիմադիր կուսակցությունների արգելքն անվանեց որպես իր նախընտրական ծրագրի խոստումներից մեկը»,- հավելել է դեսպանը:

Ուորդի խոսքով՝ այս հանգամանքներն են եղել պատճառը, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան առաջին անգամ որոշել է սառեցնել «Ուորդրոփ ռազմավարական երկխոսությունը»։

«Ընտրություններից հետո, անկախ նրանից, թե ով է կառավարությունում, մենք հույս ունենք տեսնել եվրաատլանտյան ուղի վերադարձի հստակ ապացույցներ՝ վստահությունը վերականգնելու և սերտ գործընկերության վերադառնալու համար», - եզրափակեց Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպանը:
