Լուսնի վրա ժամանակին մագմայի օվկիանոս է եղել. նոր հայտնագործություն հնդկական լուսնագնացի կողմից

Հեռավոր անցյալում, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, Լուսնի վրա գոյություն է ունեցել մագմայի օվկիանոս: Սա հայտնաբերել են հնդիկ գիտնականները, ովքեր Chandrayaan-3 լուսնային առաքելությունից մեկ տարի անց հրապարակել են առաջին արդյունքները՝ կայանի և Պրագյան մարսագնացի կողմից հավաքագրված տվյալների ծավալուն վերլուծությամբ:

Լուսնագնացը վայրէջք էր կատարել Լուսնի շրջաբևեռային շրջաններում, որոնք գիտնականների կողմից նախկինում չէին ուսումնասիրվել: Ռեգոլիթի կառուցվածքի վերլուծությունը ցույց է տվել, որ այն նման է հասարակածային և միջին լայնությունների ժայռերին, ինչը նույնպես խոսում է հեռավոր անցյալում Լուսնի վրա մագմա օվկիանոսի գոյության վարկածի օգտին։
 
Լուսնի գիշերը սկսվելուց 11 օր առաջ լուսնագնացը վայրէջքի վայրից 103 մետր է անցել: Այս ճանապարհորդության ընթացքում այն անցկացրել է լուսնային հողի ուսումնասիրության 30 սեսիա՝ օգտագործելով APXS ռենտգենյան սպեկտրոմետրը և LIBS լազերային սպեկտրոսկոպը: Այս ուսումնասիրությունները գիտնականներին թույլ տվեցին երկու կարևոր եզրակացություն անել. նախ՝ Լուսնի վրա կան հնագույն մագմա օվկիանոսի հստակ հետքեր. երկրորդը, նմուշները պարունակում էին ժայռեր Լուսնի խորը շերտերից, որոնք կարող էին մակերեսային շերտերում հայտնվել միայն խոշոր աղետի արդյունքում:
 
Պրագյանի հավաքած տվյալները հաստատում են, որ միլիարդավոր տարիներ առաջ Լուսնի վրա գոյություն է ունեցել մագմայի համաշխարհային օվկիանոս: Անորթոզիտների առատությունը ռեգոլիթում վկայում է դրա մասին, քանի որ այս թեթեւ հանքանյութերը մակերես են բարձրանում մագմա օվկիանոսի վերին շերտերից։ Այնուամենայնիվ, մագնեզիումի և դրա միացությունների առկայությունը մակերևութային ապարներում վկայում է այն մասին, որ Լուսնի խորը շերտերից նյութեր նույնպես արտանետվել են մակերես:
 
Այս նյութերն ընկել են Լուսնի մակերեսին Արեգակնային համակարգի ամենամեծ խառնարանի՝ Հարավային բևեռի՝ Այթկենի տարածքում, որի տրամագիծը 2500 կիլոմետր է: Այս հարվածը բարձրացրեց ժայռերը Լուսնի ամենախոր խորքերից և ցրեց դրանք նրա ամբողջ մակերեսով, ինչը հնարավոր դարձրեց դրանց հայտնաբերումը:
 
Թեև հնդկական վայրէջքը և մարսագնացը չեն գոյատևել հաջորդ լուսնային գիշերը, նրանք օգնել են հետազոտել Լուսնի հարավային բևեռն և շրջաբևեռային շրջանները, որոնք համարվում են Երկրից այն կողմ մարդկության առաջին բազային ճամբարի ստեղծման հավանական վայրերը:
