«‎Երևանի մերձեցումն Արևմուտքի հետ արկածախնդրություն է». ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարարի բացառիկ հարցազրույցը Al Jazeera-ին

ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Արշակ Կարապետյանը հայտարարել է, որ Հայաստանի ներկայիս իշխանությունը ձգտում է մերձենալ Արևմուտքի հետ՝ Ռուսաստանի հետ պատմական կապերից հրաժարվելու դիմաց:

Al Jazeera-ին տված բացառիկ հարցազրույցում Կարապետյանը, ով նաև նախկին հետախուզական վարչության պետն էր, հաստատել է, որ նախկին Խորհրդային Միության որոշ երկրների մերձեցումն Արևմուտքի հետ հանգեցրել է բացասական հետևանքների, այդ թվում՝ իրենց տարածքների մի մասի կորստի, ինչպես դա տեղի է ունենում այժմ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը կորցրած Հայաստանի, Աբխազիան և Օսիան կորցրած Վրաստանի, ինչպես նաև Ղրիմը կորցրած Ուկրաինայի դեպքում։

Պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար, ընդդիմադիր «Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդն ընդգծել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հարցը փակված չէ, և որ այն կվերականգնի իր նախկին պատմական կարգավիճակը: Նա կարծում է, որ այն երկրները, որոնք գտնվում են մեր տարածաշրջանում, դեմ են Արևմուտքին, և որ Ադրբեջանն ու նրա հարստությունները կարող են զոհ դառնալ ապագայում Արևմուտքի ներկայության պատճառով: Միևնույն ժամանակ նա ողջունել է Հայաստանի կողմից Պաղեստինյան պետության ճանաչման քայլը՝ հավելելով, որ պաղեստինցիները իրավունք ունեն ապրել և պատժել ագրեսորին:
