Байден предложил вместо этого выдвинуть кандидатом в президенты вице-президента Камалу Харрис

Президент США Джо Байден объявил о выходе из президентской избирательной кампании. "Я считаю, что в интересах моей партии и страны будет, если я, как президент, сосредоточусь на выполнении своих обязанностей до конца своего срока", - написал президент США. Байден предложил выдвинуть вместо себя кандидатом в президенты от Демократической партии вице-президента Камалу Харрис. "Демократы, пришло время объединиться и победить Трампа. Давайте сделаем это", — написал Байден в соцсети X. Камала Харрис заявила, что сделает все возможное, чтобы объединить Демократическую партию и объединить страну для победы над Дональдом Трампом.
 
"До выборов у нас осталось 107 дней. Вместе мы будем бороться. Вместе мы победим", — сказалa Харрис.
 
Бывший президент США Барак Обама выразил поддержку действующему президенту Джо Байдену после его отказа от президентской гонки 2024 года, назвав его высококлассным патриотом. Бывший президент США Билл Клинтон и его жена Хиллари Клинтон поддерживают кандидатуру вице-президента США Камалы Харрис на пост президента. "Ничто не заставляет нас больше беспокоиться о нашей стране, чем угроза второго срока Трампа. Сейчас настало время бороться за избрание Камалы Харрис. От этого зависит будущее Америки", — говорится в совместном заявлении бывшего президента США и бывшего госсекретаря.
 
Джо Байден войдет в историю США как "худший президент", заявил кандидат в президенты США республиканец Дональд Трамп, комментируя выход Байдена из президентской кампании в США. Он заявил, что победить Камалу Харрис будет гораздо легче, чем Байдена. Трамп также заявил, что он не может представлять угрозу демократии, как утверждают его критики.
 
"На прошлой неделе я получил пулю во имя демократии", - сказал бывший президент США. Напомню, выборы президента США пройдут 5 ноября.
