Ադրբեջանը, COP29 գագաթնաժողովին ընդառաջ, ճնշում է ԶԼՄ-ներին և ակտիվիստներին. The Guardian

Ադրբեջանի կառավարությանը մեղադրել են, ՄԱԿ-ի կարևորագույն կլիմայական բանակցությունները (COP29) հյուրընկալելու նախաշեմին, ԶԼՄ-ների և քաղաքացիական հասարակության ակտիվությունը ճնշելու համար:

Այս մասին գրում է բրիտանական The Guardian-ը, նշելով, որ հեղինակավոր Human Rights Watch իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպությունը պարզել է նախորդ տարում առնվազն 25 լրագրողի և ակտիվիստի ձերբակալման դեպք. գրեթե բոլորը շարունակում են անազատության մեջ մնալ:

Աղբյուրը նշում է, որ Ադրբեջանը նոյեմբերին երկու շաբաթվա ընթացքում կհյուրընկալի ՄԱԿ-ի COP29 կլիմայական գագաթնաժողովը և ակնկալվում է, որ մոտ 200 երկրի կառավարություն, ներառյալ տասնյակ պետությունների ղեկավարներ, կմշակեն նոր գլոբալ մոտեցում կլիմայական ճգնաժամը լուծելու նպատակով անհրաժեշտ միջոցներ տրամադրելու համար: Շատ ակտիվիստներ և քաղաքացիական հասարակության խմբեր խոսել են իրենց մտահոգությունների մասին առ այն, որ կլիմայի հարցերի վերաբերյալ քարոզչությունը ճնշվում է լրատվամիջոցների նկատմամբ ճնշումների պատճառով:

Ակտիվիստներն իրենց մտահոգությունները բարձրացրել են Բոննում, որտեղ տեղակայված է Կլիմայի փոփոխության մասին ՄԱԿ-ի շրջանակային կոնվենցիայի (UNFCCC) քարտուղարությունը: Բոննում բանակցությունների շենքի մուտքի մոտ բողոքի ակցիա է տեղի ունեցել քննարկումների ժամանակ: Մասնակիցները կոչ են արել ազատ արձակել Ադրբեջանում պահվող 23 հայ քաղբանտարկյալներին։ Որոշ ցուցարարներ Ադրբեջանի կառավարությանը մեղադրել են ցեղասպանության համար։

Unilever ընկերության նախկին գործադիր տնօրեն Փոլ Փոլմանը, որն այժմ քարոզարշավ է իրականացնում կլիմայի և մարդու իրավունքների հարցերով, նշել է, որ ցանկանում է COP29-ն օգտագործել որպես հնարավորություն միջազգային հանրության համար՝ խոսելու բանտարկյալների նկատմամբ Ադրբեջանի վերաբերմունքի մասին, ինչի վերաբերյալ նա լուրջ մտահոգություններ ունի:

Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունը հերքել է ակտիվիստների պնդումները։

«Մենք լիովին մերժում ենք Ադրբեջանում իրավապաշտպանների և լրագրողների դեմ բռնաճնշումների մասին պնդումները։ Ադրբեջանում ոչ ոք չի հետապնդվում քաղաքական համոզմունքների կամ գործունեության պատճառով»,- նշել է իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչը։

The Guardian-ը նկատում է, որ ավտորիտար Ադրբեջանը, որտեղ սահմանափակված են լրատվամիջոցները և քաղաքացիական ազատությունները, համարվում է աշխարհի ամենակոռումպացված երկրներից մեկը՝ անցած տարի Թրանսփարենսի Ինթերնեշնլի վարկանիշում զբաղեցնելով 154-րդ տեղը 180 պետությունների շարքում: Ադրբեջանը մեղադրվում է նաև քաղբանտարկյալներ պահելու համար։

«Անցյալ տարի հարևան Հայաստանի հետ պատերազմը վիճելի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի տարածաշրջանի համար ավարտվեց 100,000 մարդկանց՝ իրենց տները լքելով»,- եզրափակել է պարբերականը՝ նկատի ունենալով օկուպացված Արցախում տեղի ունեցած էթնիկ զտումները:
