Հայաստանի սամբոյի տարբեր տարիքային հավաքականները 3 ոսկե, 8 արծաթե և 7 բրոնզե մեդալ են նվաճել Սերբիայի Նովի Սադ քաղաքում մայիսի 9-12-ն անցկացված Եվրոպայի պատանիների, երիտասարդների և մեծահասակների առաջնությունում:

Թիմային ընդհանուր հաշվարկով հայ մարզիկները 18 մեդալով զբաղեցրել են 4-րդ հորիզոնականը։

Հայաստանի հավաքականի կազմում Եվրոպայի չեմպիոնի կոչմանն արժանացել են Մայիս Ներսիսյանը (64 կգ/ մարտական սամբո), Աննա Այվազյանը (50 կգ/ երիտասարդներ) և Ալեքս Խաչատրյանը (53 կգ/ պատանիներ):

Մեծահասակների պայքարում փոխչեմպիոնի կոչմանն արժանացել են 64 կգ քաշային Նարեկ Դալլաքյանը, 98 կգ քաշային Արսեն Խանջյանը, մարտական սամբոյի 98 կգ քաշային կարգում հանդես եկող Արման Ավանեսյանը և 54 կգ քաշային Արփինե Մնացականյանը: Երիտասարդների պայքարում արծաթե մեդալներ են նվաճել Սամվել Ղազարյանը (79 կգ), իսկ պատանիների պայքարում՝ Մելինե Առաքելյանը (47 կգ քաշային), Նարեկ Սիմոնյանը (53 կգ) և Սեյրան Սարուխանյանը (88 կգ):

Մեծահասակների պայքարում բրոնզե մեդալներ են նվաճել Կարեն Սարգսյանը (58 կգ), Սրբուհի Հովակիմյանը (59 կգ), մարտական սամբոյի 71 կգ քաշային Մհեր Մերջանյանը և 88 կգ քաշային Ավետիք Պողոսյանը: 18-20 տարեկան երիտասարդների պայքարում պատվո հարթակի երրորդ աստիճանին են կանգնել Մհեր Մելոյանը (58 կգ) ու Անի Մարտիրոսյանը (54 կգ), իսկ 16-18 տարեկան պատանիների պայքարում՝ 79 կգ քաշային Լևոն Վանոյանը:

Եվրոպայի առաջնությանը 29 երկրի շուրջ 600 մարզիկ է մասնակցել:

Ավելի վաղ հայտնել էինք, որ Եվրոպայի առաջնության նախօրեին տեղի է ունեցել մարզաձևի Եվրոպայի ֆեդերացիայի գործկոմի նիստը, որի շրջանակում անցկացվել են գործկոմի նոր կազմի և ֆեդերացիայի ղեկավար կազմի ընտրությունները։
Արդյունքում, Հայաստանի սամբոյի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Միքայել Հայրապետյանն ընտրվել է Եվրոպայի ֆեդերացիայի փոխնախագահի պաշտոնում:
