Եթե Իսրայելը մտնի Ռաֆահ, զենք չեմ մատակարարի. Բայդեն

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը CNN-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է, որ Իսրայելի կողմից ամերիկյան զենքի կիրառման հետևանքով խաղաղ բնակիչներ են զոհվել։ Բայդենը նաև ասել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն զենք չի մատակարարի Իսրայելին, եթե իսրայելական բանակը մտնի Ռաֆահ։

«Ես հստակ ասել եմ, որ եթե նրանք մտնեն Ռաֆահ, նրանք դեռ չեն մտել Ռաֆահ, ապա ես չեմ մատակարարի զենք, որը պատմականորեն օգտագործվել է Ռաֆահի դեմ՝ քաղաքների դեմ պայքարելու համար», - ասել է Ջո Բայդենը:

Իսրայելի կողմից Գազայի հատվածում 2000 ֆունտանոց ռումբերի կիրառման հետևանքով խաղաղ բնակիչներ են զոհվել, ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը։

ԱՄՆ-ն այդ ռումբերն Իսրայել է մատակակարել 2023 թվականի դեկտեմբերին։

CNN-ը նշում է, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահը ենթարկվել է ուժեղ ճնշման, այդ թվում՝ իր կուսակցության անդամների կողմից՝ սահմանափակելու Իսրայել զենքի առաքումները Գազայում հումանիտար ճգնաժամի պայմաններում: Մինչ այժմ նախագահը դիմադրում էր այդ կոչերին և վճռականորեն աջակցում էր ՀԱՄԱՍ-ին հետապնդելու Իսրայելի ջանքերին։ Այդուհանդերձ, մոտալուտ ներխուժումը Ռաֆահ՝ Գազայի հարավային քաղաք, որտեղ ապաստան է գտել ավելի քան մեկ միլիոն պաղեստինցի խաղաղ բնակիչ, կարծես թե փոխել է Բայդենի դիրքորոշումը:

«Մենք չենք հրաժարվում Իսրայելի անվտանգությունից. մենք հրաժարվում ենք այդ տարածքներում պատերազմ մղելու Իսրայելի կարողությունից», - ասել է Բայդենը:

Բայդենը հավելել է, որ մինչ ԱՄՆ-ն կշարունակի պաշտպանական սպառազինություն տրամադրել Իսրայելին, այդ թվում՝ իր «Երկաթե գմբեթ» հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգի համար, այլ տեսակի մատակարարումները կդադարեցվեն, եթե սկսվի Ռաֆահ խոշոր ցամաքային ներխուժումը:

«Մենք պատրաստվում ենք շարունակել համոզվել, որ Իսրայելն ապահով է «Երկաթե գմբեթի» և վերջին շրջանում Մերձավոր Արևելքից հասցված հարձակումներին պատասխանելու նրա ունակության առումով: Բայց մենք չենք մատակարարելու զենք և հրետանային արկեր», - հավելել է նա։

Մայիսի 8-ին Պենտագոնի ղեկավար Լլոյդ Օսթինը հայտարարել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները դադարեցրել է «ծանր զինամթերքի» մատակարարումը և վերանայում է Իսրայելին ռազմական օգնություն տրամադրելու իր ծրագիրը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ այս որոշումը կայացվել է «Ռաֆահում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունների» պատճառով։

The New York Times-ի և AP-ի աղբյուրները հայտնել են, որ անցյալ շաբաթ Միացյալ Նահանգները հետաձգել է 3500 ռումբերի մատակարարումը մտավախությունների պատճառով, որ դրանք կարող են օգտագործվել Գազայի հատվածի հարավում գտնվող Ռաֆահ քաղաքի վրա հարձակման ժամանակ: Ըստ ԱՄՆ կառավարության աղբյուրների՝ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հետաձգել է 1800 2000 ֆունտանոց ռումբերի և 1700 500 ֆունտանոց ռումբերի մատակարարումները՝ մտավախություն ունենալով, որ դրանք կարող են նետվել Ռաֆահի վրա:
