Ջերմային ալիքները զգալիորեն մեծացնում են վաղաժամ ծննդաբերության վտանգը:

Ավստրալացի բժիշկները պարզել են, որ անոմալ շոգ եղանակի և ջերմային ալիքների դրվագները մոտ 50-60%-ով մեծացնում են վաղաժամ ծննդաբերության վտանգը, ինչը հատկապես վերաբերում է կանաչապատ տարածքներում ապրող հղիներին: Այս մասին հայտնում է Մոնաշի համալսարանի մամուլի ծառայությունը։

Վերջին երկու տասնամյակների ընթացքում Ավստրալիայում 1,2 միլիոն հղի կանանց դիտարկումները ցույց են տվել, որ վաղաժամ ծննդաբերության հավանականությունը զգալիորեն կախված է նրանից, թե որքան հաճախ և որքան ժամանակ են կանայք ենթարկվել ծայրահեղ շոգին հղիության վերջին եռամսյակում: Հավաքված գիտական ​​տեղեկատվությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ այս ազդեցությունը կարող է կրճատվել կանաչ տարածքի շնորհիվ:

Միևնույն ժամանակ, գիտնականները նշում են, որ վաղաժամ ծննդաբերության վտանգը հատկապես ուժեղ է աճել այն կանանց շրջանում, ովքեր ապրում էին Ավստրալիայի այն շրջաններում, որտեղ կանաչապատման և բուսականության բազմազանության ցածր մակարդակ կա: Այս ցուցանիշների բարելավումը 14-21%-ով կնվազեցնի ցերեկային և գիշերային շոգից առաջացած վաղաժամ ծննդաբերության լրացուցիչ ռիսկը, եզրակացրել են գիտնականները։
