Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության պայմանագրի շուրջ աշխատանքները կարելի է ավարտել արդեն այս տարի։ Այս մասին Անթալիայում կայացած դիվանագիտական ​​ֆորումում հայտարարել է Հարավային Կովկասում և Վրաստանի ճգնաժամի հարցերով ԵՄ հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Տոյվո Կլաարը՝ նշելով, որ Եվրամիությունը ներգրավված է Հարավային Կովկասում կայունության և անվտանգության հաստատման գործընթացում։

Նրա խոսքով, Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի համատեքստում անհրաժեշտ է հենվել արդեն իսկ կնքված պայմանագրերի վրա, այդ թվում՝ սահմանների սահմանազատումը՝ հիմնվելով Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԽՍՀ-ների միջև սահմանազատման գծերի վրա՝ 1991 թվականին Ալմա-Աթայի հռչակագրի ստորագրման պահին. «Համաձայնագիրը պետք է ներառի սահմանի բացում՝ մարդկանց և ապրանքների տեղաշարժի համար, այդ թվում՝ հարավային Հայաստանի տարածքով, Ադրբեջանի հիմնական մասից Նախիջևան»:

Կլաարը նշել է, որ Եվրամիությունը մեծ նշանակություն է տալիս Թուրքիայի դերին, որը բացառիկ հնարավորություն ունի նպաստելու խաղաղությանը՝ բացելով սահմանները և վերականգնելով Հայաստանի հետ տրանսպորտային կապերը։ Նրա կարծիքով, խաղաղ կարգավորումը օգուտ կբերի ոչ միայն անմիջականորեն ներգրավված երկրներին, այլեւ ԵՄ երկրներին՝ ապահովելով Եվրոպայի, Կենտրոնական Ասիայի եւ Չինաստանի միջեւ տրանսպորտային միջանցքի հուսալիությունը։

«Նման քայլը Եվրամիությանը վստահություն կհաղորդի Եվրոպան Կենտրոնական Ասիայի և Չինաստանի հետ կապող տրանսպորտային միջանցքի անխափան աշխատանքի նկատմամբ։ Այս դեպքում ԵՄ-ն նաև կկարողանա Հայաստանից դուրս բերել քաղաքացիական դիտորդական առաքելությունը, որը տեղակայվել էր՝ ցույց տալու համար ԵՄ ներգրավվածությունը տարածաշրջանում»,- ընդգծել է Կլաարը։
