«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. ««Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթին մանրամասներ են հայտնի դարձել ձնահոսքի հետեւանքով կյանքից զրկված Բենիամին Մանուչարյանի դեպքից։ Մասնավորապես, զինվորի զորացրվելուց առաջ զանգեր են հնչել զորամասի ղեկավարներին, եւ պահանջել են, որ զինվորին զորացրեն հենց իր բանակ գնացած օրը։ Մեզ հասած տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ զորամասի ղեկավար կազմը պնդել է, որ չեն կարող, սակայն պահանջները թիկունքավոր բարեկամների կողմից շարունակվել են, քանի որ ծնողները պատրաստվել են: Եւ, ահա, հրամանատարության զիջումների հետեւանքով որոշվել է զինվորին մարտական դիրքից իջեցնել, ինչն էլ ցավալի ու ողբերգական հետեւանք ունեցավ։

Նշենք, որ երեկ խորհրդարանում պաշտպանության նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանն անդրադարձավ մարտական դիրքից մշտական տեղակայման վայր գնալու ճանապարհին զոհված Բենիամին Մանուչարյանի մահվան հանգամանքներին։

Նախարարը նախ նշեց, որ ամբողջական պատկերը կարող է պարզ դառնալ միայն ծառայողական քննության եւ քննչական գործողությունների արդյունքում։ Ամեն դեպքում, Պապիկյանն ընդգծեց, որ վերջին 10 օրերին շատ բարդ եղանակային պայմաններ են լեռնային հատվածներում։

«Այս պահին ունենք 200 ավելի դժվարամատչելի դիրքեր, ըստ էության, փակ դիրքեր՝ բքի եւ ձյան պատճառով։ Շատ կարեւոր է նշել, որ մենք գործ ունենք վերջին 3 տարվա ընթացքում ձեւավորված առաջնագծի հետ, որտեղ ոչ բոլոր ուղղություններն են մեզ հայտնի՝ որպես պոտենցիալ ձնահոսքերի ուղղություններ։ Իհարկե, այս խնդրի, դիպվածի հիմքում կան նաեւ պատշաճ պարտականությունները կատարելու մեջ թերացումներ։ Ես անուններ եւ պաշտոններ, բնականաբար, չեմ հնչեցնի, բայց պետք է նշեմ, որ սա չի կարող չունենալ պատասխանատուներ։ Ակնհայտ է, որ վերադաս հրամանատարության կողմից առկա են այդ օրերի համար գրավոր հանձնարարականներ որեւէ տեղաշարժ չիրականացնել», – նշել էր Պապիկյանը:
