Հայաստանում պետականության տապալման գործընթացի ժամանակ նիկոլի ֆիշկան կոռուպցիան էր, ու դրա մասին նրա հյուսած ծուռ հայելիների աշխարհը, որով ստի համապատասխան չափաբաժինը բաց թողնելով, կարողացավ հանրային մոլորության մեծ ալիք գեներացնել։
 
Գաղտնիք չէ, որ կոռուպցիան այն ոլորտն է, որով կարող ես ցանկացած ամբոխի տաքացնել՝ հասցնելով քեզ ցանկալի կրիտիկական կետին, ինչն էլ փայլուն իրականացրեց նիկոլոսը։ Բոլորս ենք հիշում, թե ոնց էր իրեն մեջտեղից պոռթում, թե «ոչ մի ձուկ, ոչ մի մուկ չի պլստալու»։ Հետո տեսանք, թե ինչպես իր նշած կենդանական ծագում ունեցողները շատ սիրուն ոչ միայն համագործակցում, այլև հլու հնազանդ կատարում են բոլոր կարգադրությունները՝ պարկելով սրանց տակ։
 
Ամեն օր կոռուպցիայից ու կոռուպցիոն բացահայտումների մասին խոսացող իշխանությունը, ով իրեն համարում է «ժողովրդական բաստիոն» և «արևմուտքի միակ հույս», ըստ օդում կախված լուրերի, ամբողջովին թաթախված է կոռուպցիոն տարբեր սխեմաների մեջ (էլ ասֆալտ, էլ քովիդ, էլ բռոնիկ, չխոսենք պետական տենդեռների մասին), բայց իրեն սրբի տեղ դրած շարունակում է աչքակապությամբ զբաղվել ու մարդկանց համոզել, թե իրենց գլխին լուսե պսակ կա։
 
Երեկ կառավարության նիստով էլ դրել ինչ-որ նոր շոուներ է անում, դատաիրավական համակարգին հրապարակավ հանձնարարականներ իջեցնում, թե «արագացրեք, կոռուպցիոն բացահայտումների վերդիկտներ հրապարակեք» (էս փուլում դրանք իրեն օդ ու ջրի պես պետք են, քանի որ դրսում ծախելու բան ա պետք)։ Դա պետք է, որ ասի, «ժող ջան տեսա՞ք՝ ինչքան են լափել ու տարել ձեզանից, այ սենց են արել, որ 30 տարի չենք զարգացել» (ծանոթ սեցնար ա չէ՞)։ Ու մի հետաքրքիր բան ֆիքսեցի․ ասում ա, «դե դուք չեք գնացել մարդկանց մոտ չագուչը ձեռներիդ խոստումներ տվել»՝ ակնարկելով, որ «բազարը մնացել է իմ վզին»։ Այսինքն սա խոսում է, նրա մասին, որ սա մնացել է «պրյոմի» տակ ու ամեն ինչ անելու է՝ նոր «սենսացիոն բացահայտումներ» ու «սկանդալային» տեսարաններ ունենալու համար։
 
Եթե ուշադրությամբ նայենք գոյություն ունեցող վիճակագրությանը և բացահայտված դեպքերին, ապա ակնհայտ է դառնում, որ կոնկրետ Սերժ Սարգսյանի կառավարման տարիներին շատ ավելի մեծ թվով կոռուպցիոն բացահայտումներ են եղել և շատ ավելի պաշտոնյաներ են պատասխանատվության ենթարկվել, քան նիկոլական էպոխայում, սա դիֆերամբ չի, այլ գոյություն ունեցող փաստ (այդ ամենի մասին բաց աղբյուրներում դրված է, կարող եք հանգիստ կարդալ)։
 
Թերևս տարբերությունն այն էր, որ այն ժամանակ աղմուկ չէր արվում, տարբեր տիպի սպիլբերգյան էժան շոուներ չէր իրականացվում և առանց այդ ամենի մարդիկ ենթարկվում էին պատասխանատվության իրենց արած ապօրինության համար․կամ առնվազն ազատվում էին զբաղեցրած պաշտոնից։ Իսկ այսօր քանիցս ականատես ենք եղել, թե ինչպես են տարբեր կոռուպցիոն սխեմաների մեջ մեղադրվող անձիք նախ հրապարակային շոույով ձերբակալվում, իսկ արդեն օրեր անց, նույն անձը համապատասխան դրեստ-կոդով մտնում է աշխատավայրը և վայելում իր մի բաժակ ամերիկանոն՝ սիգարետով։
