Ջոնսոնը Եվրոպային նոր Հռոմեական կայսրության գաղափար է առաջարկել

Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Բորիս Ջոնսոնը հունիսի 29-ին Բեռլինում G7-ի գագաթնաժողովում առաջարկել է ստեղծել Հռոմեական կայսրության անալոգը Եվրոպական միությունից և ԵՄ անդամ չհանդիսացող երկրներից՝ համաեվրոպական քաղաքական տարածքը պաշտոնականացնելու համար:

Ջոնսոնն իր գաղափարն առաջ է քաշել՝ հետևելով Էմանուել Մակրոնի՝ եվրոպական քաղաքական համայնք ստեղծելու առաջարկին։ Ըստ Ջոնսոնի` նոր Հռոմեական կայսրությունը կարող է ներգրավել Թուրքիան և հյուսիսաֆրիկյան առանցքային պետությունները:

Մակրոնի առաջարկը քաղաքական համայնքի մասին, որն ավելի լայն կլինի, քան ԵՄ-ի 27 երկրները, ուղղված է հիմնականում Ուկրաինային և Արևելյան Եվրոպայի այլ երկրներին «ընտանիքի» մեջ մտցնելուն, նույնիսկ եթե նրանք դեռ չեն կամ երբեք չեն լինի դաշինքի անդամ: Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի խոսքով՝ նոր խումբը թույլ կտա եվրոպական երկրներին, որոնք հավատարիմ են ԵՄ-ի «հիմնական արժեքներին», համագործակցել անվտանգության, էներգետիկայի, տրանսպորտի, ենթակառուցվածքների և մարդկանց տեղաշարժի ոլորտներում։

Հրատարակությունը, հղում անելով ֆրանսիացի պաշտոնյաների հայտարարություններին, գրում է, որ Մակրոնը վաղուց է ցանկանում բարելավել երկկողմ հարաբերությունները Լոնդոնի հետ, սակայն Ջոնսոնին համարում է անհուսալի զրուցակից։

Լրագրողների հետ զրույցում, երբ մեկնում էր Մադրիդ՝ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովին, Ջոնսոնն ասել է, որ գաղափարի հեղինակն ինքն է և ավելացրել է, որ ինքը նաև կողմ է ավելի լայն դաշինքին, որը ներառում է Հյուսիսային Աֆրիկան:

«Ես այս գաղափարն ունեի, երբ առաջին անգամ դարձա արտգործնախարար»,- ասել է նա՝ նկատի ունենալով իր պաշտոնավարումը 2016-ից 2018 թվականներին։ — Կարծում եմ, որ մենք պետք է վերակառուցենք ամբողջ հայեցակարգը։ Կարծում եմ՝ Թուրքիան պետք է այնտեղ լինի։ Կարծում եմ, որ Մաղրիբը պետք է այնտեղ լինի, և կարծում եմ, որ մենք պետք է վերստեղծենք Հռոմեական կայսրության Mare Nostrum-ը»:

Ջոնսոնն ասել է, որ Մակրոնի գաղափարը «արժանի է ուշադրության», եթե այն համատեղելի է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ավելի լայն նպատակների հետ, բայց նշել է, որ կարևոր է նաև երկրների միջև հարաբերություններ կառուցելը, այլ ոչ թե «նոր կառույցներ հորինելը»:
