Այսօր ավագ շաբաթ է․ երեկոյան կմատուցվի Ճրագալույցի սուրբ պատարագ

Մեծ Պահքի վերջին շաբաթը կոչվում է Ավագ շաբաթ։ Շաբաթվա յուրաքանչյուր օրը ներկայացնում է Փրկչի՝ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի երկրային կայնքի վերջին օրերը և հավատացյալներին մոտեցնում է Սուրբ Հարության հաղթանակին:

Այսօր՝ ապրիլի 16-ին, Սուրբ Հարության՝ Զատկի օրվան նախորդող ավագ շաբաթն է։ Այս օրը պատկերն ու օրինակն է արարչության յոթերորդ օրվա, երբ Աստված հանգստացավ իր բոլոր գործերից: Աստված վեց օրում արարեց աշխարհը, իսկ յոթերորդ օրը հանգստացավ: Անցած օրերն Աստված պատվեց արարչությամբ, իսկ այս օրը՝ օրհնությամբ ու սրբությամբ:

Մեծախորհուրդ այս շաբաթ օրը հիշատակվում են Տիրոջ թաղումը և հանգիստը գերեզմանում (Մատթ. ԻԷ 57-61): Այս օրը Հիսուս մարդկանց հոգիների չարչարանքների տունը՝ դժոխքն ավերեց և բացեց հանգստյան տունը՝ Դրախտը: Իսկ յոթերորդ ժամանակաշրջանի հասնելուն պես Տերը կրկին պիտի գա և արդարներին շնորհի աշխարհի սկզբից նրանց համար պատրաստված արքայությունը՝ հավիտենական հանգիստը:

Ըստ Եկեղեցական կարգի՝ երեկոյան ժամերգությունից հետո սկսվում է նոր օր: Երեկոյան մատուցվում է Ճրագալույցի Ս. Պատարագ, որի ավարտին ազդարարվում է Փրկչի հրաշափառ Հարության ավետիսը. «Քրիստոս յարեաւ ի մեռելոց, օրհնեալ է յարութիւնն Քրիստոսի»: Այս ավետիսով ավարտվում է Մեծ Պահքը:

Թեև Տիրոջ թաղման հիշատակի օրն Ավագ շաբաթն է, սակայն թաղման գլխավոր արարողակարգը կատարվում է Ավագ ուրբաթ երեկոյան: Իսկ Ավագ շաբաթ օրվա երեկոյան կատարվում է Ս. Զատկի ճրագալույցի արարողությունը՝ այսպիսով եզրափակելով Տիրոջ չարչարանքների շաբաթը և ավետելով Նրա հարությունը մեռելներից:
