«Փորձել եմ միշտ ձեռնպահ մնալ նախկին քաղհասարակության, նախկին իրավապաշտպաններին քննադատելուց, որոնց հետ նախկին իշխանությունների ժամանակ համագործակցել եմ։ Սակայն, այսօր կարդացի նրանցից մեկի գրառումը․«Եթե դատավորին համարում ես քաղաքական բանտարկյալ, ապա ընդունում ես, որ դատավորը քաղաքական գործիչ է։

Բայց այդ դեպքում, ինչպես կարող է դատավոր հանդես եկող անձը հանդիսանալ քաղաքական գործիչ, այս երկու հասկացություններն ուղղակի անհամատեղելի են» »,- այս մասին իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է իրավապաշտպան Ավետիք Իշխանյանը:

«Այս քննադատությունն ինձ էլ է վերաբերում, քանի որ, այո՛ ես համոզված եմ , որ դատավոր Բորիս Բախշիյանը քաղաքական բանտարկյալ է, ուստի և ստիպված եմ պատասխանել ականավոր իրավապաշտպանին։

Ի գիտություն, բոլորին։
Տարբեր ժամանակներում քաղաքական հետանդումներ, կալանավորումներ, խոշտագումներ, գնդակահարություններ իրականացվել են ոչ միայն քաղաքական գործիչների նկատմամբ։

Ստալինյան շրջանում կալանավորվել, աքսորվել և գնդակահարվել են բազմաթիվ մարդիկ, ովքեր չեն եղել քաղաքական գործիչներ։ Օրինակները բազմաթիվ են, սկսած Ակսել Բակունցից, Հրաչյա Աճառյանից և շարունակած տասնյակ հազարավոր անմեղ մարդկանցով, որոնց մեջ եղել են նաև դատավորներ։ Նրանք բոլորը համարվում են ստալինյան շրջանի քաղաքական հետապնդումների, ահաբեկչության զոհեր։

Այնպես որ, «եթե քաղաքական, ապա քաղաքական», թվացյալ «տրամաբանությունը», բացարձակապես տրամաբանական չէ, հատկապես, երբ այն ասվում է, իրեն իրավապաշտպան համարող անձնավորության կողմից։ Երբ երկրի ղեկավարը հրահանգում է իր գրպանային «իրավապահ» մարմիններին քր․ գործեր մոգոնել և կալանավորել իրեն չենթարկվող անձանց, լինեն նրանք քաղաքական գործիչներ, համայնքապետեր, ուսուցիչներ արվեստագետներ, թե դատավորներ, նրանք բոլորը համարվում են քաղաքական հետապնդվողներ և քաղբանտարկյալներ։ Սա տարրական ճշմարտություն է և ցավալի է, որ դրանից անտեղյակ է ականավոր իրավպաշտպանը։ Իսկ գուցե ես սխալվում եմ, նա շատ լավ գիտակցում է այս ամենը, բայց այդպես են պահանջում նրան պատվեր իջեցնողները։ Եվ այդ դեպքում հարց է առաջանում, թե ով է իրականում քաղաքական գործիչը, դատավոր Բորիս Բախշիյանը, թե՞ այս իրավապաշտպանը»-գրել է Ավետիք Իշխանյանը:
