Հռոմի պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսը Հունաստանից մեկնելու ճանապահին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Եվրամիությանը նախազգուշացրել է չբռնել գաղափարական գաղութացման  ճանապարհը, գրում է Daily Mail-ը՝ հիշեցնելով, որ անցյալ շաբաթ ԵՄ-ին մեղադրել են «Սուրբ Ծնունդը չեղարկելու» փորձի համար այն բանից հետո, երբ մարդկանց խորհուրդ է տրվել խուսափել «Սուրբ Ծնունդ» արտահայտությունից՝ փոխարենը կիրառելով «արձակուրդային շրջան»-ը, քանի որ այն կարող է վիրավորական լինել ոչ քրիստոնյաների համար:

Եվրոկրատներն այս կանոնը հրապարակել են ամիսներ առաջ՝ որպես «ներառական հաղորդակցության» ուղեցույցի մի մաս, որի մանրամասների արտահոսքը հանգեցրել է բուռն արձագանքի:
