ԱՄՆ-ում շուտով պատվաստումը կարող է հասանելի լինել երեխաների համար

Այս շաբաթ Միացյալ Նահանգները սկսում է Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 պատվաստանյութի կիրառումը 5-ից 11 տարեկան երեխաների համար, սակայն ի սկզբանե առաքված 15 միլիոն պատվաստանյութերի մեծ մասը դժվար թե հասանելի լինի մինչև հաջորդ շաբաթ։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Ամերիկայի ձայնը։

Մանկաբույժ Մեթյու Հարիսը Նյու Յորքի Քոհեն մանկական բժշկական կենտրոնից հորդորում է ծնողներին պատվաստել իրենց երեխաներին:

«Մենք գիտենք, որ ԱՄՆ-ում մինչև 18 տարեկան 6 միլիոն երեխայի մոտ ախտորոշվել է COVID-19, որոնցից մեկ միլիոնը միայն՝ սեպտեմբեր ամսին: Նրանցից 1,9 միլիոնը եղել են 5-ից 11 տարեկան, իսկ 8400-ը հոսպիտալացվել են»,- ասում է նա։

9-ամյա Ժոզեֆինայի և 6-ամյա Մաքսի մայր Կարա Դոբլը ոգևորված է, որ պատվաստանյութը շուտով հասանելի կլինի իր երեխաներին:

«Ուրախ եմ, քանի որ դա նրանց դպրոց վերադառնալու հետ կապված ամենամեծ անհանգստությունն է», - ասում է նա:

Նյու Յորքի Մանհեթեն թաղամասի East Village Community դպրոցի ծնողները «չափազանց ոգևորված» էին, որ իրենց երեխաները կպատվաստվեն:

«Մենք ունենք մեկ երեխա, որը պատվաստված չէ մեր ընտանիքում, և մնացած բոլորը պատվաստված են, և ես իսկապես անհամբեր սպասում եմ, երբ նա կպատվաստվի», - ասում է 10-ամյա Օսկարի մայր Քեթրին Լայոնը:

Ուրբաթ օրը ԱՄՆ Սննդամթերքի և դեղորայքի գերատեսչությունը թույլատրեց Pfizer-ի կորոնավիրուսի պատվաստանյութը 5-ից 11 տարեկան երեխաների համար, որը սակայն անմիջապես հասանելի չի լինի տարիքային այս խմբին, հայտնում է Ռոյթերս գործակալությունը։ ԱՄՆ-ի Հիվանդությունների վերահսկման և կանխարգելման կենտրոնը դեռ պետք է տրամադրի իր կարծիքը, թե ինչպես պետք է պատվաստել: Դա կորոշվի այն բանից հետո, երբ մի խումբ խորհրդատուներ կքննարկեն ծրագիրը երեքշաբթի նոյեմբերի 2-ին: Pfizer-ն ասում է, որ շաբաթ օրվանից կսկսի առաքել պատվաստանյութի մանկական դեղաչափերը մանկաբույժների գրասենյակներ և այլ հաստատություններ:

FDA խորհրդատուներն ասում են, որ ավելի ցածր չափաբաժինը կարող է օգնել մեղմել որոշ հազվադեպ պատահող կողմնակի ազդեցությունները՝ կապված Pfizer և Moderna պատվաստանյութերի հետ, հատկապես երիտասարդերի մոտ:

Անցյալ շաբաթվա վերջում կորոնավիրուսով վարակվածների միջին յոթ օրվա թիվը նվազել է 3%-ով՝ հասնելով մոտ 69 հազարի: 10%-ով նվազել է նաև հոսպիտալացման միջին մակարդակը՝ հասնելով մոտ 5100 դեպքի, իսկ օրական մահացության դեպքերի միջին թիվը նվազել է 10%-ով՝ հասնելով մոտ 1100-ի։
