Հայաստանում 26 տարի է՝ չի արձանագրվել պոլիոմիելիտ հիվանդությունը

Այսօր պոլիոմիելիտի դեմ պայքարի համաշխարհային օրն է։ Յուրաքանչյուր տարի ամբողջ աշխարհում պատվաստումներն ավելի քան 3 միլիոն կյանք են փրկում, իսկ միլիոնավոր մարդիկ պաշտպանվում են ինչպես ծանր ընթացքով վարակիչ հիվանդություններից, այնպես էլ դրանցից առաջացած բարդություններից՝ հաշմանդամություն, մահ: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Հիվանդությունների վերահսկման և կանխարգելման ազգային կենտրոնը։

 
 
Պոլիոմիելիտի դեմ իրականացվող պատվաստումների շնորհիվ հիվանդությունն ամբողջ աշխարհում գրեթե վերացել է, վայրի պոլիովիրուսի շրջանառությունը դեռևս շարունակվում է միայն Աֆղանստանում և Պակիստանում:
 
Պոլիոմիելիտը բարձր վարակելիության վիրուսային հիվանդություն է: Այն ախտահարում է նյարդային համակարգը՝ առաջացնելով կայուն հաշմանդամություն, երբեմն՝ մահ: Հիմնականում հիվանդանում են 2-ից 5 տարեկան երեխաները, սակայն կարող են հիվանդանալ նաև ավելի բարձր տարիքի անձինք։
 
Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում 1995 թվականից չի արձանագրվել պոլիոմիելիտ հիվանդությունը, որը նախկինում տարեկան առնվազն 2-3 երեխայի կայուն հաշմանդամության պատճառ էր դառնում: 2002 թվականին Հայաստանը, ի թիվս եվրոպական տարածաշրջանի այլ երկրների, հռչակվել է «պոլիոմիելիտից ազատ» երկիր և առ այսօր հաջողությամբ պահպանում է այդ կարգավիճակը:
 
Ներկայումս պոլիոմիելիտի արմատական վերացումը հնարավոր է: Այդ նպատակով Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության կողմից մշակվել է գլոբալ ռազմավարություն, որի շրջանակներում երկրներին առաջարկվել է պոլիոմիելիտի բերանային պատվաստանյութի փոխարեն կիրառել ինակտիվացված պատվաստանյութ: Այս համատեքստում, Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում փուլ առ փուլ պոլիոմիելիտի կենդանի բերանային պատվաստանյութից անցում է կատարվել ինակտիվացված պատվաստանյութի:
 
2020 թվականի մարտից հանրապետությունում կիրառվում է միայն պոլիոմիելիտի ինակտիվացված բաղադրիչով համակցված պատվաստանյութ:
