Երկրի հյուսիս-արևմուտքում զորավարժություններն ինքնիշխանության հարց էին և ուղղված էին տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության ապահովմանը. Իրանի ԱԳՆ-ն պատասխանել է Ալիևին

Իրանի արտգործնախարարության պաշտոնական խոսնակ Սայիդ Խաթիբզադեն հայտարարել է, որ  Իրանի հյուսիս-արևմուտքում զորվարժությունների անցկացումն ինքնիշխան հարց էր և որ Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունը չի հանդուրժի իսրայելական ռեժիմի ներկայություն իր սահմանների մոտ, գրում է irna.ir-ը:

Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի՝ Իրանի հյուսիս-արևմուտքում զորավարժությունների թեմայով արած հայտարարությունների մասին հարցին ի պատասխան մամուլի խոսնակը նշել է, որ զարմանալի էր այն, թե ինչպես է Ադրբեջանի նախագահն արտահայտել դիտողությունները, քանի որ երկու երկրները լավ, հարգալից հարաբերություններ ունեն և ամենաբարձր մակարդակներում ունեն շփման նորմալ ուղիներ:

Խաթիբզադեն ասել է, որ Իրանի և Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարները լրջորեն և սերտորեն քննարկել են այս և այլ հարցեր՝ Նյու Յորքում ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր վեհաժողովի շրջանակում կայացած հանդիպմանը: Ըստ խոսնակի, բարձրաստիճան դիվանագետները համաձայնել են շարունակել բանակցությունները պատշաճ պայմաններում:

Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունը միշտ մերժել է ցանկացած տեսակի տարածքային օկուպացիա և ընդգծել է երկրների տարածքային ամբողջականության և միջազգայնորեն ճանաչված սահմանների հարգման անհրաժեշտությունը, ընդգծել է Խաթիբզադեն:

Նա հավելել է, որ բարիդրացիության սկզբունքի պահպանումը ամենակարևոր թեմաներից է, որը Իրանը ակնկալում է, որ իր հարևանները պետք է հաշվի առնեն:

Դիվանագետը նաև բացատրել է, որ Իրանի հյուսիսարևմտյան շրջաններում զորավարժությունները ինքնիշխան հարց էին և ուղղված էին տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության ապահովմանը:

Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունը չի հանդուրժի Իսրայելի ռեժիմի ներկայությունը, չնայած ցուցադրական, Իրանի սահմանների մոտ և կանի այն, ինչ անհրաժեշտ է համարում իր անվտանգության համար, եզրափակել է Խաթիբզադեն:
