ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը պատրաստվում է ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը պատրաստվում է ապրիլի 24-ին պաշտոնապես ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ, այս մասին տեղեկատվությամբ ողողված է ինչպես ամերիկյան, այնպես էլ միջազգային մամուլը:

Բայդենի վարչակազմին մոտ կանգնած աղբյուրը The New York Times-ին հայտնել է, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին Բայդենը կխոսի ոճրագործության 106-րդ տարելիցին իր ուղերձում: «Ներքին քննարկումներին լավատեղյակ պաշտոնյաները հայտնում են, որ նախագահ Բայդենը պատրաստվում է հայտարարել՝ կոտորածները ցեղասպանական գործողություն են եղել: Այս քայլը կազդարարի, որ ԱՄՆ հավատարմությունը մարդու իրավունքներին գերակա է Թուրքիայի հետ դաշնակցային հարաբերությունները ռիսկի ենթարկելու հեռանկարին»,- գրում է պարբերականը:
Ամերիկյան CNN-ի անանուն երկու աղբյուրներ ևս տեղեկացրել են, որ Բայդենը պաշտոնական հայտարարության մեջ ճանաչելու է ցեղասպանությունը: «Խնդրին քաջատեղյակ երրորդ աղբյուրը հայտնել է, որ ԱՄՆ պաշտոնյաները նաև ազդանշաններ են ուղարկել վարչակազմից դուրս գտնվող դաշնակիցներին, ովքեր պահանջում էին նախագահից պաշտնական հայտարարություն՝ հայտնելով, որ նախագահը ճանաչելու է ցեղասպանությունը»,- գրում է CNN-ը: Լրատվամիջոցը հայտնել է, որ Սպիտակ տունը հրաժարվել է մեկնաբանություն տալ այս առթիվ: Սպիտակ տան խոսնակ Ջեն Պսակին հայտնել է, որ վարչակազմն այս մասին ասելիք կունենա հիշատակի օրը՝ ապրիլի 24-ին: CNN-ը հիշեցրել է, որ նախագահի թեկնածու Բայդենը խոստացել էր հավատարիմ մնալ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման հանձնառությանը:
