Համաշխարհային World Press Photo լուսանկարչական մրցույթի «Գլխավոր լուրեր/ պատմություններ» (General News/Stories) անվանակարգում 2021 թվականին հաղթող է ճանաչվել «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի» գործակալության հատուկ թղթակից Վալերի Մելնիկովի շարքը՝ նվիրված Արցախյան պատերազմին:

Ինչպես ներկայացնում է գործակալությունը, «Կորսված դրախտ» (Paradise Lost) խորագրով ֆոտոշարքը, որը Մելնիկովը պատկերել է 2020 թվականի նոյեմբերին, առաջին տեղն է գրավել հեղինակավոր ֆոտոմրցույթում:
