Քաղաքագետ Հրանտ Մելիք-Շահնազարյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Ուզու՞մ եք պատմեմ ձեզ, թե որն էր անցած պատերազմի ամենամեծ սուտը։ Այն որ թուրքերը գրավել են Շուշին։ Չի եղել նման բան։ Ընդ որում նրանք Շուշին չեն կարողացել գրավել ոչ թե այն պատճառով, որ քաղաքը լավ պաշտպանված է եղել, այլ որովհետև անգամն բնական պատնեշները հաղթահարելու համար բավարար ուժ չունեին։ Նրանք ուղղակի եկել են Շուշի։

Շուշին անգամ չի հանձնվել թշնամուն։ Կարևոր բան եմ ասում, խնդրում եմ ուշադիր եղեք։ Շուշին այսօր է հանձնվում Ադրբեջանին։ Եվ դա Կարմիր Շուկայում է արվում։ Դեռ մի ամիս առաջ եմ զգուշացրել, որ աչքներս այդ գյուղի վրա պահենք։ Եկել և ուզում են զավթեն այն։ Արդեն գրեցի, թե ինչի համար։ Եվ այդ ամենը երկու դավաճանների՝ Նիկոլի ու Արայիկի համաձայնությամբ։ Նրանց հետ ձեռք բերված գաղտնի համաձայնությամբ։

Մի քիչ էլ փակագծեր բացեմ։ ԳՇ պետի ու բանակի հրամանատարության հայտնի հայտարարությունը, իմ խորին համոզմամբ, ամենևին էլ ՀՀ ներքաղաքական վիճակներով չէր պայմանավորված։ Թեման Կարմիր Շուկան էր։ Եվ երբ հրամանատարները կարծեցին, թե գյուղին այլևս վտանգ չի սպառնում, նահանջեցին քաղաքական պահանջներից։ Թերագնահատել են Նիկոլի ու Արայիկի ստորության աստիճանը։ Կարմիր Շուկայում նոր պրոցեսներ են սկսվել։

Նորից եմ կրկնում՝ թշնամին Շուշին չի գրավել։ Շուշին այսօր է հանձնվում Ադրբեջանին։ Վաղը-մյուս օրն էլ Քարվաճառն է հանձնվելու։ Այո, չեմ սխալվել։ Քարվաճառը։ Որովհետև ինչպես Շուշի, այնպես էլ Քարվաճառ ադրբեջանցիները մուտք չունեն։ Նիկոլի ու Արայիկի թողտվությամբ են ռուսների ձեռքը բռնած գալիս ու գնում։
