Բայդենը հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցել կորոնավիրուսի հետեւանքով մահացած ԱՄՆ քաղաքացիների հիշատակին

Երկուշաբթի երեկոյան Սպիտակ տանը ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցել համաքաղաքացիների հիշատակին, որոնք մահացել են նոր կորոնավիրուսի հարուցած հիվանդության հետեւանքով, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը: 

ԱՄՆ առաջնորդը հայրենակիցներին հղած կարճ ուղերձում նրանց կոչ է արել հաղթահարել հանրության մեջ պառակտումը, որ առաջացել է խորը քաղաքական հակասություններով: «Մենք պետք է դրա [համավարակի] դեմ միասին պայքարենք՝ որպես մեկ ժողովուրդ: Որպես Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգներ: Միայն այդպես կհաղթենք այս վիրուսը»,- հայտարարել է Բայդենը: Նա նաեւ արտահայտվել է այն բանի օգտին, որ ընդհանուր ջանքերով տեղի ունեցածը վերածեն պատմության ոչ թե այն մասին, թե որքան ցած էր ընկել երկիրը, այլ այն մասին, թե դրանից հետո երկիրը որքան ավելի էր վեր բարձրացել: «Մենք դա ի զորու ենք անելու»,- վստահ է ամերիկյան վարչակազմի ղեկավարը, որը ներկայացնում է Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունը:

Ելույթն ավարտելով՝ Բայդենը տիկնոջ՝ Ջիլի ուղեկցությամբ դուրս է եկել Սպիտակ տան Հարավային նախասրահ, որտեղ արդեն վառվում էին 500 մոմեր, որ խորհրդանշում էին կորոնավիրուսի 500 հազար զոհերին: ԱՄՆ առաջին ամուսնական զույգին են միացել փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսը եւ նրա ամուսին Դուգլաս Էմհոֆը: Հավաքվածները գլխահակ լսել են հռչակավոր Amazing Grace եկեղեցական օրհներգը, որից հետո վերադարձել են Սպիտակ տուն:

Ջոն Հոփքինսի համալսարանի տվյալներով՝ ԱՄՆ-ում կորոնավիրուսի հարուցած հիվանդության հետեւանքով մահացածների թիվը անցել է 500 հազար նիշից: Ըստ վերջին տվյալների՝ երկրում վարակվել է ընդհանուր առմամբ 28 174 133 մարդ: Մահվան դեպքերի թիվը կազմել է 500 071: Համալսարանը հաշվարկները կատարում է դաշնային եւ տեղական իշխանությունների տեղեկությունների հիման վրա:
