Վախճանվել է հանրահայտ ջազ երաժիշտ Չիկ Կորեան

Կյանքի 79-րդ տարում մահացել է ամերիկացի դաշնակահար, կոմպոզիտոր Չիկ Կորեան: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին հաղորդագրություն է տարածել արտիստի պաշտոնական կայքէջը:

 

Հաղորդագրության տեքստում ասվում է, որ Չիկ Կորեայի մահվան պատճառ է դարձել քաղցկեղի հազվադեպ տեսակը, որը միայն վերջերս է ախտորոշվել:

 

Կորեան պրոֆեսիոնալ կարիերան սկսել է 1962-1963 թվականներին ՝ լատինամերիկյան փոփ երաժշտություն կատարող խմբերում դաշնամուր նվագելով: 1960-ական թվականների կեսերին շեփորահար Բլյու Միթչելի հետ համագործակցելով՝ նա կատարել է իր առաջին աուդիո ձայնագրությունները: Կորեայի ստեղծագործական անհատականության վրա մեծապես ազդել է Հերբի Հենքոքի, Ջոն Մաքլաֆլինի, Ուեյն Շորթերի և Ջեկ Դեջոնետի հետ Մայլս Դեյվիս խմբում որպես դաշնակահար աշխատելը: Կորեան նկարահանվել է Դևիսի «In a Silent Way» և «Bitches Brew» խորհրդանշական ալբոմներում:

 

Կորեան լայն ճանաչում է ձեռք բերել 1970-ական թվականների կեսերին «Return to Forever» համույթի շնորհիվ, որտեղ տարբեր ժամանակաշրջաններում հանդես են եկել բաս-կիթառահար Սթենլի Քլարքը, հարվածային գործիքներ նվագող Արտո Մորեյրան, Ստիվ Գեդը և Լենի Ուայթը, սաքսոֆոնահար Ջո Ֆարելը, կիթառահար Ալ Դի Մեոլան, երգել են Ֆլորա Պուրիմը և Գայլ Մորանը:
