Դեռ մի քանի ամիս առաջ Հնդկաստան ասելիս առաջինը կարելի էր մտաբերել Թաջ Մահալն ու թեյերը: Այսօր՝ Հնդկաստանը ասոցացվում է առաջին հերթին օճառային օպերաների՝ սերիալների հետ: Հնդկական ֆիլմերի ինդուստրիան Հայաստան մտավ 60-70-ական թվականներին: Խորհրդային ղեկավարությունը թույլ չէր տալիս հոլիվուդյան ֆիլմերին հայտնվել մեծ էկրանին և լավագույն այլընտրանքը մնում էին հնդկական ֆիլմերը: Շատերի կարծիքով` հենց դա է պատճառը, որ մեր օրերում հնդկական սերիալներն ունեն դիտելիության բարձր վարկանիշ՝ 70-ականների սերնդին հիշեցնում են նրանց երիտասարդությունը: Դիսկո պարողին, Զիտա, Գիտային փոխարինելու եկան սերիալների հերոսները: Առաջին ծիծեռնակը եղավ «Մերժվածը»՝ Շանթի եթերում, որին հետևեցին ՊանԱրմենիան մեդիա գրուպի 3 սերիալները: Մեր հանրության մի ստվար զանգված հետևում է գործողությունների հետագա զարգացմանը, փողոցում կարելի է հանդիպել ավելի մեծ թվով աղջիկների, ովքեր ձեռքերiն մեհենդի ունեն, բավականին ակտիվ գործում են սոցիալական ցանցերում երկրպագուների էջերը, հերոսների խոսքերը դարձել են շատերի առօրյա խոսքի մասը, և անգամ նորածին երեխաներին սկսել են անվանակոչել ի պատիվ նրանց: 2017 թվականի ամանորին Արմավիրի մարզի Գեղակերտ (Սամաղար) համայնքում ծնվեց մի աղջիկ, որին անվանեցին Իչակի: Փոքրիկի մոր՝ Մալվինա Ավետիսյանի խոսքով, հատուկ մտադրություն չեն ունեցել հենց այդպես կոչել երեխային. «Դժվարանում էինք անվան ընտրության հարցում, այդ ժամանակ էլ նոր էր սկսվել «Մերժվածը»: Գլխավոր հերոսուհու անունը հավանեցինք, և հենց այդպես էլ որոշեցինք աղջկաս անունը:
