Վանի բնակիչները պահանջում են վերանորոգել Վանա լճի Լիմ կղզու Սուրբ Գևորգ եկեղեցին

Վանի մեծ թվով բնակիչներ տեղի և կենտրոնական իշխանություններից պահանջում են Վանա լճի խոշորագույն կղզի Լիմում գտնվող Սուրբ Գևորգ հայկական եկեղեցու վերանորոգումը: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Doğan տեղեկատվական գործակալությունը:

Բնակիչները նշում են, որ եկեղեցու վերականգնումը դրական ազդեցություն կունենա տեղի զբոսաշրջության վրա և որ կիսաքանդ եկեղեցիները պետք է վերականգնվեն առաջին իսկ հնարավորության դեպքում:

Գործակալությունը նշում է, որ անցյալ տարի պաշտոնական տեղեկագրում հրապարակվել է նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի որոշումը, ըստ որի՝ Վանա լճի չորս մեծ կղզիներից երեքը, ներառյալ Լիմը, ընդգրկվել են արգելոցների ցուցակում:

Ըստ ավանդույթի` Լիմի մենաստանը ստեղծվել է 4-րդ դարում` Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի կողմից: Համաձայն հայկական աղբյուրների՝ մենաստանը կառուցվել է մինչ 884 թվականը:

Թուրքական գործակալությունը տեղեկացնում է, որ Սուրբ Գևորգ եկեղեցու կառուցումը սկսվել է 11-րդ դարում և ավարտվել է 1305 թվականին: Մենաստանի վանական եղբայրությունը գործել է մինչև 1918 թվականը:

Թուրքական աղբյուրը նաև նշում է, որ Լիմ կղզու ափի մոտ գտնվող Յայլիքայա թաղամասի բնակիչները պահանջում են վերականգնել վանական եղբայրության նստավայրը:
