Իրականացվում է ծառայողական քննություն, նաեւ քրեական գործ է հարուցված կամ կհարուցվի մոտակա ժամանակ. ծառայողական քննության արդյունքում կհասկանանք, թե ինչպես է դա կատարվել: Այս մասին այսօր՝ օգոստոսի 28-ին, ԱԺ-ում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց պաշտպանության նախարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանը՝ անդրադառնալով հայ զինծառայող Գուրգեն Ալավերդյանի՝ Ադրբեջանի տարածքում հայտնվելուն:

«Որովհետեւ մեր նախնական գնահատականն այն է, որ մեր զինծառայողը մոլորվել է եւ հայտնվել հակառակորդի կողմում: Արդյոք  մեր զինծառայողը առեւանգվել է, արդյոք այլ պայմաններ են եղել, դա դեռ պետք է պարզենք: Դրանից կախված մենք տարբեր միջազգային կառույցներում, տաբեր ձեւաչափերով աշխատելու ենք:

Հիմա մեր պահանջն այն է, որ միջազգային Կարմիր խաչի ներկայացուցչությունն  Ադրբեջանումայցելի մեր զինծառայողներին, որն իմ տեղեկություններով այս խպահի դրությամբ չի կատարվել»,-ասաց նախարարը:

Դիտարկմանը, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից միջազգային մարդասիրական նորմեր են խախտվել, Դավիթ Տոնոյանն արձագանքեց. «Գոյություն ունեն ստանդարտ պրոցեդուրաներ, որով ցանկացած իշխանություն, նաեւ Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունները տեղեկացվում են, զգուշացվում են, որ իրենք խախտում են կատարել: Դրանից հետո լինում են արձագանքներ տարբեր ձեւաչափերի: Մենք վստահ ենք, որ եւ ԵԱՀԿ-ի, եւ Միջազգային կարմիր խաչի գրասենյակի շրջանակներում, եւ ՄԱԿ-ի համապատասխան կառույցները ջանք ու եռանդ չեն խնայում, որ վերադարձվեն մեր զինծառայողները: Բայց կան նաեւ վերադարձման ինչ-որ պայմաններ՝ փոխանակել եւ այլն: Այս պահին դրա մասին խոսել մենք չենք կարող: Գլխավորը այս փուլում անվտանգ ու առողջ լինեն»:
