«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Հետաքրքիր իրադարձություններ են տեղի ունենում Շիրակում: Երկուշաբթի օրը, ԲՀԿ ռեյտինգային ցուցակով պատգամավորության թեկնածու գրանցված, Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանն իր նախընտրական խմբով քարոզարշավ էր կազմակերպել Շիրակի գյուղերով:

«Փաստի» տեղեկություններով` ՀՀԿ–ն ներկայացնող Սուքիաս Ավետիսյանը, իմանալով Վարդանիկի «մարշրուտը», նրանից կես ժամ առաջ նույն «գծով» հանդիպումների է գնացել և իր քարոզարշավն արել Ղուկասյանի համար հավաքված գյուղացիների շրջանում: Երբ նույն «գողությունը» Սուքիասը կատարել է նաև երեքշաբթի օրը, Առափի գյուղի մոտ (նախկին Օջաղուլի) Վարդան Ղուկասյանը բռնացրել է Ավետիսյանին:

Ականատեսների վկայությամբ` Վարդանիկը երկու հզոր ապտակ է հասցրել Սուքիաս Ավետիսյանին: Ներկաները, ինչպես Րաֆֆու «Սամվելում», բարձրաձայնել են` արժանի էր:
