Կորոնավիրուսի համավարակի հետեւանքով աշխարհին կանխագուշակել են «աստվածաշնչյան չափերի» սով

Կորոնավիրուսի համավարակի հետեւանքով աշխարհին կանխագուշակել են «աստվածաշնչյան չափերի» սով։ ՏԱՍՍ-ի հետ զրույցում այսպիսի կարծիք է հայտնել Համաշխարհային պարենային ծրագրի (ՀՊԾ) ղեկավար Դեւիդ Բիսլին։

Նրա խոսքով՝ համավարակի հետեւանքների մեղմացման նպատակով հումանիտար գործունեության իրականացման համար կազմակերպությանը առաջիկա կես տարում անհրաժեշտ է գրեթե 5 մլրդ դոլար։

«Մեր ունեցած բոլոր տվյալները, այդ թվում՝ ՀՊԾ կանխատեսումը մարդկանց թվի 80 տոկոսով աճի մասին, որոնք պարենի պակաս ունեն, համավարակից առաջ 140 մլն մինչեւ այս տարեվերջ 270 մլն, իսկական աղետ են մատնանշում։ Մենք հայտնվել ենք աստվածաշնչյան չափերի սովի առաջ»,- նախազգուշացրել է Բիսլին։

Նա նաեւ հավելել է, որ աշխարհում սովն արդեն «ամպերի մակարդակում է», եւ կոչ է արել սկսել անհապաղ գործել, որ «թերսնուցման հետեանքներից» չտուժեն երեխաները, եւ մարդիկ չմահանան։

Դրանից բացի, Բիսլին ՀՊԾ գլխավոր խնդիրն է համարում 2020 թվականին 138 մլն մարդկանց պարենով ապահովելը, եւ սա անվանել է պատմության մեջ խոշորագույն հումանիտար գործողություն։ Օգնության իրականացման համար առաջիկա 6 ամսում կպահանջվի 4,9 մլրդ դոլար։ Այս գումարն անհրաժեշտ է «83 երկրում հումանիտար գործունեությունը շարունակելու համար», ինչը այս պետություններից շատերի համար «գոյատեւելու միակ հույսն» է։

Աշխարհում կորոնավիրուսի զոհերի թիվն անցել է 800 հազարից։ Օգոստոսի 22-ի տեղեկություններով՝ մոլորակում մահացել է 803 201 մարդ։ Վարակվածների ընդհանուր թիվը հասել է 23 120 216-ի, 15,71 միլիոնն ապաքինվել է։
