Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության Սեյսմիկ պաշտպանության տարածքային ծառայության սեյսմոլոգիական ցանցի կողմից օգոստոսի 6-ից 12-ը ՀՀ-ի և ԱՀ-ի տարածքներում 2-3 բալ և ավելի ուժգնությամբ երկրաշարժ չի գրանցվել։   Այս մասին տեղեկացրեցին ԱԻՆ «Սեյսմիկ պաշտպանության տարածքային ծառայություն»-ից: Տարածաշրջանում գրանցվել է 3 բալ և ավելի ուժգնությամբ 10 երկրաշարժ: Մասնավորապես, գրանցվել է օգոստոսի 6-ին Իրանում՝ Խոյ քաղաքից 19 կմ հարավ-արևելք՝ 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ, օգոստոսի 7-ին Իրանում՝ Խոյ քաղաքից 15 կմ հարավ-արևելք՝ 4-5 բալ ուժգնությամբ, Ադրբեջանում՝ Աղջաբադ քաղաքից 56 կմ հյուսիս-արևելք՝ 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ, իսկ Թուրքիայում՝ Բիթլիս քաղաքից 55 կմ հարավ-արևելք՝ 4 բալ ուժգնությամբ և 52 կմ հարավ-արևելք՝ 6 բալ ուժգնությամբ, օգոստոսի 8-ին Իրանում՝ Խոյ քաղաքից 23 կմ հարավ-արևելք՝ 4 բալ ուժգնությամբ, օգոստոսի 10-ին Իրան-Թուրքիա սահմանային գոտում՝ Խոյ քաղաքից 48 կմ հյուսիս-արևմուտք՝ 3 բալ ուժգնությամբ, օգոստոսի 11-ին Վրաստանում՝ Դմանիսի քաղաքից 26 կմ հյուսիս-արևմուտք և 23 կմ արևմուտք՝ 4 բալ ուժգնությամբ, Թուրքիայում՝ Իգդիր քաղաքից 13 կմ հարավ-արևելք՝ 5-6 բալ ուժգնությամբ երկարաշարժ: Վերջին երկրաշարժը զգացվել է՝ ՀՀ Արմավիրի և Արարատի մարզերում’ 4 բալ ուժգնությամբ և Երևան քաղաքում՝ 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ։ Տարածաշրջանից դուրս 6.0 և ավելի մագնիտուդով գրանցվել է երկու երկրաշարժ’ երկուսն էլ Հնդկական օվկիանոսում: Օգոստոսի 6-ին 6.3 մագնիտուդով գրանցված երկրաշարժի էպիկենտրոնը գտնվում էր Արքայազն Էդվարդի կղզիների ափերի մոտ: Օգոստոսի 12-ին երկրաշարժ է գրանցվել Տանզանիայի Կիլինդոնի քաղաքից 65 կմ դեպի հյուսիս, որն ունեցել է 6.0 մագնիտուդ: Երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով զոհեր և ավերածություններ չկան:
