Բեյրութում պայթյունի պատճառը դեռեւս հայտնի չէ․ Պենտագոն

ԱՄՆ կառավարությունը կանի հնարավոր ամեն ինչ լիբանանցի ժողովրդին օգնելու համար Բեյրութում օգոստոսի 4-ին որոտացած ուժգին պայթյունից հետո, հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ ՊՆ Մարկ Էսփերը Fox News-ին տված հարցազրույցում։

Նա նշել է, որ դեռեւս հայտնի չէ՝ արդյոք պայթյունը կանխամտածված հարձակում էր, թե դժբախտ պատահար էր։ «Արդարադատության նախարարությունը, բոլոր կառույցները նախագահ Թրամփի ղեկավարության ներքո ուղարկում են հումանիտար օգնություն Լիբանանին։ Մենք ցանկանում ենք անել հնարավորինս ամեն ինչ այդ դժվարին պահին լիբանանյան ժողովրդի օգնելու համար»։

«Բանն այն է, որ դեռեւս մենք չգիտենք պայթյունի պատճառը»,-ասել է նա։ «Առաջին օրը մենք մտածեցինք, որ դա կարող էր լինել հարձակում։ Մեզնից մի քանիսը ենթադրել էին, որ դա կարող էր կազմակերպված լինել, օրինակ, «Հեզբոլա»-ի կողմից»։

Էսփերը նաեւ քննադատել է որոշ ԶԼՄ-ներին՝ հայտարարելով, որ նրանք փորձել են բաժանել Թրամփի վարչակազմի պաշտոնյաներին պայթյունի մասին ենթադրությունների ֆոնին։

«Ես ասել եմ, որ դա ավելի նման է դժբախտ պատահարի։ Եւ ցավում եմ, որ որոշ ԶԼՄ-ներ փորձում են առաջացնել տարաձայնություններ վարչակազմի ներսում, հնարավոր է, իմ եւ նախագահի եւ այլոց միջեւ»,-ասել է Էսփերը։
