Հայաստանում Վարդավառ է. կորոնավիրուսը «թույլ չի տա՞» ավանդական կերպով այն տոնել

Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին այսօր՝ հուլիսի 19-ին, նշում է Հիսուս Քրիստոսի Պայծառակերպության տոնը, որը ժողովրդի շրջանում հայտնի է որպես Վարդավառ: Վարդավառը Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու 5 տաղավար տոներից է եւ Պետրոս, Հովհաննես ու Հակոբ առաքյալների առաջ Քրիստոսի պայծառակերպության մասին հիշատակը:

Ի տարբերություն նախորդ տարիների՝ կորոնավիրուսի համավարակով պայմանավորված պարետատունը մի քանի օր առաջ կոչով դիմել է քաղաքացիներին՝ խնդրելով զերծ մնալ Վարդավառն ավանդական կերպով տոնելու գայթակղությունից: Այսօր ուժեղացված ծառայություն է իրականացնելու նաեւ ոստիկանությունը:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Տիրոջ Պայծառակերպության տոնը նշվում է Զատիկից 98 օր հետո, հունիսի 28-ից մինչեւ օգոստոսի 1-ը ժամանակահատվածում: Նշենք, որ Վարդավառը ժողովրդի գլխավոր ու սիրելի տոներից է:

Վարկածներից մեկի համաձայն՝ Վարդավառ (կամ Վարդամատն) տոնի անվանումը ծագում է «վարդ» բառից ու նշանակում է «վարդեր շաղ տալ»: Նախաքրիստոնեական Հայաստանում Վարդավառը կապակցում էին սիրո ու գեղեցկության աստվածուհի Աստղիկի ու նրա եւ Վահագն աստծու միջեւ սիրո հետ: Նվիրելով վարդեր ու թափելով վարդի ջուր՝ Աստղիկը սեր էր սերմանում ամբողջ հայոց հողի վրա, իսկ Վահանգն աստվածը, որը միշտ պայքարում էր Չարիքի դեմ, պաշտպանում ու պահպանում էր այդ սերը:

Այս մասին է վկայում նաեւ մեկ այլ ավանդույթ: Մի անգամ Աստղիկը, լսելով այն մասին, որ իր սիրեցյալը վիրավորված է, անքան է շտապել տեսնել նրան, որ ոտաբոբիկ է ճանապարհ ընկել: Ճանապարհին, չնկատելով իր շուրջը ոչինչ, նա ոտքերը վնասել է վարդի թփերով, իսկ նրա արյունից ծաղիկները կարմրել են: Այդպես էլ կարմիր վարդը դարձել է սիրո խորհրդանիշ:

Մեկ այլ վարկածով «Վարդավառ» բառը բաղկացած է «վարդ» ( ուարդ)՝ ջուր եւ «վար» (լվանալ, լցնել) բառերից, եւ նշանակում է ջուր ցանել, ինչն էլ հենց տոնի իմաստն է: Ըստ մեզ հասած հին ավանդույթի՝ աշխարհում ապրում էր մի հարուստ մարդ, որը պահանջում էր, որ իրեն պատկանող ջրի գործածման համար դեռատի գեղեցկուհիներին իրեն ստրկության տան: Քաջ պատանի Վարդանը հաղթել է չարագործին ու ազատել աղջիկներին: Այդ օրը ընդունված էր ջուր լցնել իրար վրա:

Տոնը սկսվում էր վաղ առավոտյան, բոլորը իրար վրա ջուր էին լցնում՝ անտեսելով տարիքը, սեռը ու հասարակական դիրքը: Դժգոհել կամ վիրավորվել չի կարելի, քանի որ համարվում է, որ այդ օրը ջուրը բուժական հատկություն ունի: Տոնն ուղեկցվում էր ավանդական խաղերով, երգ ու պարով:
Մարդիկ իրար վարդեր էին նվիրում, իսկ սիրահարված պատանիները երկինք էին բաց թողնում աղավնիներ: Եթե աղավնին երեք անգամ պտտվում էր տղայի սիրելի աղջկա տան կտուրի վրայով, աշնանը նրան ամուսնացնում էին:
