ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ԱՄՆ դաշնային կենսաթոշակային հիմնադրամներին հանձնարարել է հրաժարվել չինական ընկերությունների բաժնետոմսերում ներդրումներ կատարելուց: Այս մասին երեքշաբթի հայտարարել է Fox Business-ը` վկայակոչելով վաշինգտոնյան վարչակազմի ներքին փաստաթղթերը, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Երկուշաբթի Ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով ԱՄՆ նախագահի օգնական Ռոբերտ Օ'Բրայենը եւ Սպիտակ տան ազգային տնտեսական խորհրդի ղեկավար Լոուրենս Քադլոուն համատեղ նամակ են ուղղել աշխատանքի նախարար Յուջին Սքալիային, որում հայտարարել են, որ վարչակազմում չեն ցանկանում, որպեսզի Thrift Savings Plan դաշնային կենսաթոշակային հիմնադրամը ներդրումներ կատարի չինական ընկերությունների բաժնետոմսերում: Ինչպես նշեց հեռուստաալիքը, ներկայումս այդ ակտիվները 4 միլիարդ դոլար են կազմում:

Օ’Բրայենը եւ Քադլոուն նամակում ստեղծված իրավիճակը «ռիսկային եւ չարդարացված» են անվանել: Ընդ որում, Սպիտակ տան հանձնարարությունը նամակում ուղղակիորեն կապվում է Չինաստանի գործողությունների հետ կորոնավիրուսի համավարակի ժամանակ:

Վաշինգտոնը Չինաստանին մեղադրում է վիրուսի ծագման եւ համավարակի տարածման մասին տեղեկությունները թաքցնելու մեջ: Իր հերթին Պեկինը ափսոսանք է հայտնել, որ «որոշ քաղաքական գործիչներ վիրուսի հետ կապված իրավիճակն օգտագործում են Չինաստանը զրպարտելու համար»:
