Հայաստանի նախընտրական շրջափուլերը ունեն մի վատ ավանդույթ, որը կարծես թե դրսևորվում է նաև հիմա, չնայած հռչակված նորհայաստանյան արժեքներին ու քաղաքական նոր մշակույթին: Խոսքն, այսպես ասած, նախընտրական շրջանում պատվերով համերգների մասին է, երբ, դիցուք, որևէ քաղաքական ուժ մտնում է ընտրական պրոցեսի մեջ ոչ թե հաղթելու կամ անցողիկ շեմ հաղթահարելու, այլ շատ կոնկրետ պատվեր կատարելու նպատակով: Խոսքն այն մասին չէ, որ այս կամ այն ուժը, գործարարը, տնտեսական կամ քաղաքական կենտրոնը կարող է ներդրում անել որևէ մասնակից ուժի կամ ցուցակի մեջ՝ ակնկալելով իր շահի քաղաքական ներկայացվածություն, եթե ոչ խորհրդարանում, գոնե քաղաքական դաշտում ընդհանրապես: Սակայն մեր դեպքում գործ ունենք ոչ թե քաղաքական հաշվարկված շահի, ոչ թե այդ շահի քաղաքակիրթ արտահայտման մեխանիզմների, այլ բացառապես կենցաղային հաշիվմաքրոցու հետ:

Ենթադրենք, երկու ազդեցիկ սուբյեկտներ իրար հետ ունեն անձնական մակարդակի խնդիր: Միաժամանակ կա ակտիվ ընտրական ցիկլ, կա հասարակական սևեռվածություն այդ ցիկլ ի նկատմամբ: Ընտրական ցիկլին մասնակցող, բայց անցողիկ շեմը հաղթահարելու շանսեր չունեցող որևէ ուժի կապիտալը ժամանակավորապես համալրվում է այդ սուբյեկտներից մեկի կողմից, բնականաբար, ընդդեմ մյուս սուբյեկտի: Այսքան բան: Ամեն ինչ հենց այսքան պարզ, պրիմիտիվ ու կենցաղային: Որևէ հեռավոր նշույլ անգամ չկա քաղաքական պրոցեսների հետ:

Այն, որ ստվերային պրոցեսները հայաստանյան քաղաքականության մեջ իրենց մասնաբաժինն ունեցել են միշտ, գիտենք բոլորս: Ստվեր, ըստ էության, միշտ կա քաղաքականության մեջ ու ամենուրեք: Սակայն մեր դեպքում ստվերային պրոցեսները ոչ թե քաղաքականությամբ քողարկվում են, այլ դառնում են քաղաքական պրոցեսը նեղանձնական շահերի համար օգտագործող լծակներ: Դեռևս պաշտոնապես չմեկնարկված նախընտրական պրոցեսին անզեն աչքով հետևելիս կարող ենք տեսնել, որ անցյալի արատավոր այս ավանդույթը միտում ունի շարունակվել նաև այժմ:
