Հայկ Դեմոյանը պատմական բացառիկ ցուցանմուշ է ներկայացրել

«Նարեկացի» արվեստի միությունում տեղի ունեցավ պատմաբան, հրապարակախոս, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի նախկին տնօրեն, պատմական գիտությունների դոկտոր Հայկ Դեմոյանի «Հայկական հետքն Ամերիկայում. 400-ամյա ժառանգություն» գրքի առաջին պատվավոր շնորհանդեսը Հայաստանում: 


Գիրքը նվիրված է առաջին հայի Ամերիկա ժամանելու 400-ամյա պատմությանը:

400 տարի առաջ` 1618թ., Մարտին անունով (Martin the Armenian) առաջին հայը ժամանում է Վիրջինիա նահանգ՝ ազդարարելով հայ գաղթականների հոսքը դեպի Ամերիկա: 

- Այս գրքի տպագրությունից հետո հայտնաբերվել են շատ նոր նյութեր, և այդ իսկ պատճառով պատրաստվում եմ նոր տպագրության: 

Այսօր ձեզ կներկայացնեմ բացառիկ ցուցանմուշ, որը հայտնաբերվել է Վաշինգտոնում՝ հողերի մեջ, երբ տրակտորը բախվել է այս մետաղյա վահանակին. այն անմիջապես կապ ունի Նյու Յորքի հռչակավոր Հինգերորդ պողոտայի հետ, որտեղ բացվել էր Կարագյոզյան եղբայրների գորգագործության գործարան -խանութը:  Աշխատողը վերցրել է  այն և հանձնել  հնությունների աճուրդով զբաղվող իր բարեկամին, որը դուրս չի մնացել իմ ուշադրությունից: Այն կներառվի երկրորդ հրատարակության մեջ, - ներկաներին ցուցադրելով մետաղյա վահանակը՝ պատմաբանը շարունակեց,- խոսելով այս հատորից՝ նշեմ, որ շատ փաստաթղթեր վկայում են, որ Մարտին հայը եղել է պարսկահայ: Նա, լինելով ծառա, սկսեց զարգացնել ծխախոտագործությունը, այնուհետև մասնակցել առաջին գործադուլին, քանի որ խախտվում էին մարդկանց իրավունքները. սա ԱՄՆ-ի պատմության մեջ մարդու իրավունքների խախտման դեմ առաջին բողոքի դրսևորումն էր: Կարճ ժամանակ անց նա նահանգի անսամբլեայի անդամ էր,- իր խոսքում նշեց պարոն Դեմոյանը:

Գիրքը 620 էջանոց պատկերազարդ աշխատություն է, որն ունի 2200 լուսանկար, այդ թվում՝ արժեքավոր արխիվային փաստաթղթեր և հազվագյուտ պատկերներ, որոնք ներկայացնում են հայ-ամերիկյան համայնքի պատմությունն ու ժառանգությունը, ինչպես նաև հայերի առավել նշանակալից ներդրումներն Ամերիկայում: 

Հատորը ներառում է ՀՀ և ԱՄՆ հայկական ինստիտուտների արխիվային նյութեր, որոնցից շատերը ներկայացվում են առաջին անգամ:
