Իր գործունեություն հենց ամենասկզբից էլ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը չի սահմանափակել գործակցության սպեկտորն ու նրա անմիջական ներգրավվածությամբ, թե երկրի ներսում, թե դրա սահմաններից դուրս, արվել է հնարավոր և անհնրաին ամեն ինչ, որպեսզի հայ ազգն ավելի ճանաչելի և ներկայանալի լինի, որպեսի հայ ազգի մշակույթն ու արվեստը հարատևի, որպեսզի հայ ազգն ավելի բարեկեցիկ ապագա ունենա և այս ամենը ոչ թե խոսքեր են, որ շռայլվել են ժամանակի ընթացքում, այլև գործով ապացուցված փաստեր:

Այս համատեքստում էլ այսօր Երևանում բացվեց Ռուսաստանի Արքայական գեղարվեստի ակադեմիայի անդամ, պատմության էջերում իր ուրույն տեղը զբաղեցրած, մեծ բանաստեղծ և նկարիչ Տարաս Շևչենկոյի հուշարձանը: Բնականաբար այս քայլն իր մեջ ներառում է նաև դիվանագիտական ժեստ, երբ բարեկամ երկրին ի ցույց է դրվում բարիդրացիական հարաբերությունների և դրանց պահպանման յուրօրինակ դրսևորում, ինչն անշուշտ ուղղակի կերպով կանդրադառնա Ուկրաինայում ապրող և գործունեություն ծավալող մեր հայրենակիցների կենսակերպի վրա:

Ունենալ կապեր և հնարավորություններ ու դրանք օգտագործել նաև ի նպաստ սեփական ժողովրդի, դա ինչ խոսք գովելի է և վայել իսկական հայրենասերի ու բնավ պատահական չէ, որ այս նշանակալի օրը, այս կարևոր հուշարձանի բացման ողջ գործընթացն իրականացվել է հենց Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի նախաձեռնությամբ և հովանու ներքո:

Տարաս Շևչենկոյի ներդրումը պոեզայի աշխարհում և ոչ միայն, անգնահատելի է և հենց այս խոսքի վրա էլ, նրա նկատմամբ ցուցաբերած ուշադրությունն ու վերաբերմունքը հայ ազգի անունից է մակագրվում, որը մի նոր էջ է հայ-ուկրաինական մշակութային կապերի ամրապնդմանն ուղղված և բնավ պատահական չէ, որ հարյուրամյա փոխգործակցությունն այսօր պատվով պահպանվում է մի մարդու կողմից, ով քաջ գիտակցում է, թե ինչ է նշանակում և ինչի կարող է բերել երկու՝ պատմություն ունեցող ժողովուրդների անքակտելի հարաբերություններում նմանատիպ անկյունաքարային նախաձեռնությունը:
