«Ես ուզում եմ շնորհակալության խոսք ասել Իջևանի ավագանուն, ով միացավ համաժողովրդական շարժմանը: Ես ակնկալում եմ, որ այսօր նմանատիպ հայտարարությամբ հանդես կգա նաև Իջևանի քաղաքապետը: Դու պարտավոր ես լինել քո ժողովրդի հետ, քո ժողովրդի կողքին: Շնորհակալ եմ այն համայնքներին, ովքեր միացել են համաժողովրդական հեղափոխությանը, ոչ բռնի թավշյա հեղափոխությանը: Վերջին այս օրերին որևէ կասկած չկա, որ մենք հաղթել ենք, բայց խնդրում եմ հավաքեք ձեր ուժեր, չկորցնեք զգոնությունը, և վաղվանից մեր գործողությունները պետք է վերսկսվեն նոր թափով, նոր վճռականությամբ, նոր սիրով, նոր հաղթանակներով, և էլի ուզում եմ հիշեցնել, որ մեր պայքարը ոչ բռնի, բաց ձեռքերի պայքար է: Մեր ցանկացած գործողություն ուժեղ է, վճռական, բայց մեր գործողությամբ մեջ չի կարող լինել բռնություն, լկտիություն, եթե ճանապարհ եք փակում, հազար անգամ ներողություն խնդրեք, բացատրեք, թե ինչու եք դա անում, ոչ մի առանց համարի ավտոմեքենա, ոչ մի ճռիկ-մռիկներ, նրանք ոչ մի կապ չունեն մեր շարժման հետ: Որևէ մեկը թող չփորձի ստվեր նետել իր լկտիությամբ մեր այս պայծառ շարժման վրա: Կեցցե ՀՀ-ն, կեցցե մեր ժողովուրդը: Հաղթանակ: Անկախ իրադարձությունների զարգացման հետագա ընթացքից բոլորը, բոլոր մարզերից մայիսի 1-ի առավոտյան ժամը 8-ից հեղեղում են Երևան մայրաքաղաքի բոլոր փողոցները»:
