Մայոր Հայկ Թորոյան. միայնակ մարտ է վարել հակառակորդի հետ

Մեր ժամանակի հերոս, մայոր Հայկ Թորոյան. 2016 թ.-ի ապրիլի 2-ին Մատաղիսի մարտական դիրքեր զինամթերք հասցնելու ճանապարհին մարտի է բռնվել հակառակորդի դիվերսիոն հետախուզական խմբի հետ, պայքարել է մինչեւ վերջին փամփուշտը ու ընկել քաջի մահով:

Հայկն ապրիլին պետք է լիներ Երեւանում եւ ներկայացվեր փոխգնդապետի կոչում ստանալու համար, սակայն չհասցրեց: Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հերոսը ապրիլի 2-ին փորձելով իր զինվորներին ավելի արագ զենք հասցնել, գնալով կարճ ճանապարհով, ընկել էր շրջափակման մեջ, եւ վարորդի զոհվելուց հետո, միայնակ էր մարտ վարել: Երբ վերջացել էին փամփուշտները ու փորձել էր լիցքավորել, հենց այդ պահին թշնամին նկատել էր նրան: 30-ամյա մայոր Հայկ Թորոյանին ադրբեջանցիները գլխատել են կենդանության օրոք։

Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հերոս, 30-ամյա մայոր Հայկ Թորոյանը Երեւանից էր: Հայկը 14 տարի ծառայել է Մատաղիսում: Հնարավորություն է ունեցել տեղափոխվել այլ զորամաս, սակայն ինքը չի ցանկացել:

Հայկ Թորոյանը հետմահու պարգեւատրվել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Մարտական խաչ առաջին աստիճանի շքանշանով:
