Ցավալի լուր. Մահացել է հայտնի հայ երաժիշտ, «սիգարների արքա» ...

Մահացել է հայազգի հանրահայտ ջազ դաշնակահար և աշխարհում առաջատար դիրքեր զբաղեցնող AVO ֆիրմայի սիգարների ստեղծող։

Ավո Ուվեզյանը ծնվել է 1926 թ. Բեյրութում, Լիբանանում երաժիշտների ընտանիքում։ Հայրը Լայպցիգում սիմֆոնիկ նվագախմբի ղեկավար էր։ Մայրը և կրտսեր քույրը ևս պրոֆեսիոնալ երաժիշտներ են։
16 տարեկանում Ավոն ստեղծում է ջազ խումբ։ Խումբը նվագում է Լիբանանում, այնուհետև նրանց հրավիրում են Բաղդադ և Թեհրան։ Մի օր պալատում նվագելիս նրան նկատում է շահ Ռեզա Փեհլևին։ Վերջինիս շնորհիվ Ավոն մեկնում է ԱՄՆ, որտեղ և ընդունվում է Նյու Յորքի Ջուլիարդ հայտնի երաժշտական դպրոցը։ Այնտեղ էլ Ավո Ուվեզյանը ամուսնանում է։
Մեկնելով Պուերտո Ռիկո՝ Ավոն երկրորդ անգամ է ամուսնանում։ Այնտեղ նա ստեղծում է խումբ, որի հետ նվագում էր կուրորտային ռեստորաններում։ Մի օր նվագելիս նա հանդիպում է շվեցարահայ Ժակ Մելքոնյանին, ով միտք է հայտնում զբաղվել սիգարների արտադրությամբ։
Սկզբնական ժամանակներն Ավոն սիգարներ էր պատրաստում իր և իր ընկերների համար։ Այնուհետև 1988 թ-ին նա 10 տուփ իր սիգարներից ուղարկում է աշխարհահռչակ Davidoff ընկերություն։ Սիգարները շատ արագ վաճառվում են, և ընկերությունը նոր պատվեր է անում։ Դրանից հետո Ավո Ուվեզյանը և Davidoff-ը անբաժան են։ 1996 թ-ին Davidoff ընկերությունը 10 միլիոն դոլարով գնում է AVO սիգարային բրենդի իրավունքները։ AVO տարբերանշանի հեղինակն է հայտնի անգլիացի դիզայներ Դառել Այրլենդը։
2000 թ-ին Ավո Ուվեզյանը ստեղծում է Ավո Մադուրո (Avo Maduro) սիգարները, որոնք առանձնանում են իրենց քաղցր համով։ Ավո Ուվեզյանը երբեք չի բաժանվում երաժշտությունից։ Նա բեմ է դուրս եկել և նվագել այնպիսի երաժիշտների հետ, ինչպիսիք են Ռեյ Չարլզը, Ջեյմս Բրաունը, Թաջ Մահալը և ուրիշներ։ Նրա կուռքերն են Դյուկ Էլլինգտոնը, Օսկար Պիտերսոնը, Չիկ Կորեան։
