«Կանացի» հանցագործություններն իրենց բնույթով, էապես տարբերվում են տղամարդկայինից: Կանայք շատ հազվադեպ են հանցագործություններ կատարում շահի համար:

Գողություններ, ավազակային հարձակումներ, սպանություններ` ուրիշի ունեցվածքին տիրանալու նպատակով կատարված, կանացի հանցանքներ չեն: Իսկ ահա կոպիտ, բռնի գործողությունները` ընտանեկան բնույթի, որոնցից են, օրինակ, սպանությունը` խանդի հողի վրա, վրեժխնդրությունը, մարմնական ծանր վնասվածքները, քրեական վիճակագրությունում տիպիկ «կանացի մասնաբաժին են»: Հոգեբանների և քրեագետների կարծիքով՝ այդ երևույթը, որը, կարծես թե, կանացի բնությանը հակասող է, բացատրություն ունի: Կանայք ի ծնե հակված չեն սադիզմի և ծայրահեղ դաժանության: Պարզապես նրանք շատ զգացմունքային են, և հաճախ կանանց միտքն ընդունակ չի լինում կառավարել բացասական և ուժեղ զգացմունքները: Դրանց թվում կարող են լինել զայրույթը, խանդը, մահացու վիրավորանքը: Արդյունքում` կանանց բռնության տուժողները դառնում են, որպես կանոն, նրանց հարազատները` անհավատարիմ ամուսինները, սադիստ հայրերը, տան բռնակալ-սենյակակիցները… Սակայն, կրքերի բովում կատարելով հանցագործությունը, հետագայում կանայք դրսևորում են հետաքրքիր շարունակականություն և դաժանություն: Ի տարբերություն հանցագործ-տղամարդկանց` թույլ սեռի ներկայացուցիչները չեն շտապում արցունքներ թափել, խոնարհվել կամ պոկել մազերը: Անգամ գիտակցելով պատժի դաժանության աստիճանը` կին-մարդասպանները մեծ մասամբ համոզված են մնում, որ ճիշտ են վարվել: Կալանավորվածների փոխհարաբերությունները բոլոր բանտախցերում տարբեր ձևով է դասավորվում, ինչը կախված է հավաքված «հանրության» առանձնահատկություններից: Տղամարդկանց խցերին հակառակ, որտեղ անընդհատ կռիվ է առաջնորդության համար (այդ պայքարը սովորաբար անմարդկային և հաճախ անգամ անողոք է), կանանց մոտ միջավայրն ավելի հանգիստ է: Սովորաբար կոլեկտիվում լինում է «նայող», ով «պահում է խուցը»: Իրականում, «խուց պահել» արտահայտությունը այնքան էլ ճիշտ չէ: Այն շատ ավելի պակաս սպառնալիք է իր մեջ պարունակում, քան հնչում է: Պարզապես, նայողը հետևում է խցի կարգ ու կանոնին, կարգավորում է հերթափոխն ու մաքրության որակը, տեղանքի պատշաճությանը և խաղաղ փոխհարաբերությունները: Մարդիկ, որոնք գաղափար չեն ունենում մեկուսարանային իրականությունից (բարեբախտաբար, փորձառուներ այստեղ այնքան էլ շատ չեն), հաճախ զրույցներում թեմա են բացում կալանավորների մեջ առկա լեսբուհիական սիրո մասին:
