Ջեֆֆ Լոնգոն սովորական տղա է Ֆլորիդայից: Մի տաք օր զբոսնելիս՝ նա մայթեզրին մի գեղեցիկ էակի նկատեց:

RedNews-ի փոխանցմամբ, ինչպես հետո պարզվեց, այդ էակը նորածին, դեռևս կույր սկյուռի ձագ, որը ընդամենը մեկ սանտիմետր երկարություն ուներ:

Տղան սկզբում շփոթվեց, բայց հետո հասկացավ, որ չի կարող թողնել, որպեսզի նորածին ձագուկը սատկի մայթեզրին: Նա փոքրիկ էակին իր հետ տուն տարավ և սկսեց խնամել:

Փոքրիկ կենդանուն Ջեֆֆը տվեց Պեչենկա անունը:

Երբ երիտասարդ տղան կենդանու առաջին լուսանկարը տեղադրեց սոցիալական ցանցերում, շատերը գրեցին նրան, որ փոքրիկը դատապարտված է, և որ նա չի կարողանա գլուխ հանել, քանի որ կենդանիների մասին ոչինչ չգիտի:

Բայց նա շարունակեց սկյուռին կերակրել և տաքացնել, ինչպես դա կաներ կենդանու մայրը:

Հավատը, համբերատարությունը և խնամքն արեցին իրենց գործը, արդյունքում սկյուռի փոքրիկ ձագուկը վերածվեց մեծ և ուրախ, թռչող սկյուռի:

Միասին անցկացրած երկու ամիսների ընթացքում Ջեֆֆը ոչ մի վայրկյան չլքեց նրան: Նա նրան իր հետ անգամ աշխատանքի էր տանում, և տղայի ջանքերն իզուր չանցան:
