Թոմաս դե Վաալ. «Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը հայկական էլ կմնա».«Փաստ»

«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Կովկասի հարցերով բրիտանացի հայտնի փորձագետ, Կարնեգի հիմնադրամի ավագ գիտաշխատող Թոմաս դե Վաալը «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է. «Ես կարծում եմ՝ բոլորը հասկանում են, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի կոնֆլիկտի ցանկացած լուծման դեպքում Ղարաբաղը մնալու է հայերի վերահսկողության ներքո: Այստեղ հարց է ծագում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի շուրջ ադրբեջանական շրջանների մասին, որոնք նույնպես հայերի վերահսկողության տակ են: Իհարկե, Բաքուն երբեք չի հաշտվի այդ տարածքների կորստի հետ, որտեղ կես միլիոն ադրբեջանցիներ են ապրել, որոնք այժմ էլ փախստականի կարգավիճակում են: Մյուս կողմից հայերը այդ տարածքները չեն հանձնի այնքան ժամանակ, մինչև Ղարաբաղի անվտանգությունն ապահովող ամուր երաշխիքներ չստանան: Իմ կարծիքով 20 տարի առաջ այս խնդիրը ավելի հեշտ կարող էր լուծվել, քան հիմա»:

Regnum–ի քաղաքական մեկնաբան Ստանիսլավ Տարասովը հիշեցնում է, որ Թոմաս դե Վաալի կանխատեսումները հիմնականում իրականանում են: Նա նշում է, որ քանի դեռ Ստեփանակերտը, որպես երրորդ կողմ, չի մասնակցում բանակցություններին, հայ–ադրբեջանական կոնֆլիկտը լուծում չի ստանա:

«Արդյունքում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը կմնա հայերի ձեռքում, իսկ ադրբեջանական շրջանները կվերադարձվեն Ադրբեջանին: Սրանք երկու կարևոր էլեմենտներ են: Սակայն կոնֆլիկտը կարող է շարունակվել դեռ 20, 30 տարի»,– ասել է Թոմաս դե Վաալը:
