Նա սահում էր սառույցի վրա, երբ հեռվում մի տարօրինակ արարածի նկատեց. Նա նույնիսկ չգիտեր, որ վայրկյաններ անց նրան հերոսացնելու էին բոլորը (տեսանյութ)

Իսկ ի՞նչ կանեիք դուք, եթե ձմռանը տեսնեիք, որ հսկա կենդանին փորձանքի մեջ է ընկել:

Վիկտոր Յոհանեսենը ձմռանն այդպիսի հարցի առաջև կանգնեց, երբ Շվեդիայի հյուսիսում հանգստանում էր: Նա սահում էր սառցակալած լճի վրայով, երբ ընկերների հետ ինչ-որ տարօրինակ բան նկատեցին:

Չնայած նրան, որ դա նրանցից հեռու էր, տղամարդիկ սառցակալած լճի մակերեսին հսկա մարմին տեսան: Հասկանալի էր, որ կենդանին փորձում էր փրկվել չսառցակալած փոքրիկ տարածքից: Դա կյանքի և մահվան հարց էր:

Նրանք տեսան, որ եղջերուն մի քանի անգամ փորձում է բարձրանալ ջրի մակերես, սակայն միայնակ դա անել չի կարողանում: Ակնհայտ էր, որ կենդանին արդեն ընկղմվել էր սառը ջրով լճի մեջ: Եղջերուն ինքնին ծանր կենդանի է, ուստի նա ոչ մի կերպ չէր կարողանում ցամաք բարձրանալ:

Տղաները սկսում են լճի ափի ուղղությամբ հարվածել` հույս ունենալով, որ կենդանին կհասկանա և կգնա այդ ուղղությամբ: Բարեբախտաբար, մինչև ափ հասնելու ճանապարհն այդքան էլ երկար չէր, սակայն տղամարդկանցից մեծ էներգիա և ջանքեր պահանջվեց:
