Հայաստանի եվրոպական ապագան միֆ է, հեքիաթ, որի անվան տակ մեզ վաճառում են թրքացում: Այս մասին ասել է ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը:

«Երբ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Եվրոպական Պառլամենտի Ստրասբուրգյան շենքում ճոռոմաբանում էր Հայաստանի եվրոպական ապագայի և ԵՄ-ին անդամակցելու մասին՝ նա և եվրոպացի դեպուտատները այդ պահին շատ լավ գիտեին, որ կես ժամ հետո Եվրոպական Պառլամենտում լինելու է մի կարևորագույն փաստաթղթի շուրջ քվեարկություն, որը կոչվում է Եվրոպական միության ընդլայնման ռազմավարություն:

Ես գտա այդ փաստաթուղթը: Այդ փաստաթղթում ոչ մի խոսք չկա այն մասին, որ Հայաստանը ունի Եվրոպական Միության անդամության հեռանկար, այն ինչ Բալկանների, Մոլդովայի, Ուկրաինայի պարագայում դա գրված է մի քանի տեղ և պարզ տեքստով: Հայաստանի մասին ինչ գրված է՝ մաքսիմում այն է, որ նրանք ողջունում են այդ հիմար օրենքը ԱԺ-ում ինտեգրման մասով ընդունված ու հույս ունեն, որ եթե ռեֆորմները շարունակվեն խորանալ՝ ապա ԵՄ-Հայաստան հարաբերությունները կթևակոխեն տրանսֆորմացիոն փուլ:

Եվրոպական դեպուտատները շատ լավ գիտեին, որ երբ ծափահարում էին Նիկոլի ինքնամոռաց ճառին, կես ժամ հետո քվեարկելու են մի փաստաթղթի շուրջ, որտեղ չկա գեթ մեկ բառ Հայաստանի Եվրոպական Միության անդամակցության հեռանկարի մասին: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը 9 տարի չի կարողանալու Հայաստանը համապատասխանեցնել եվրոպական ստանդարտներին: Փաստաթղթում գրված է, որ եվրոպական միության անդամ չեն կարող դառնալ երկրներ, որոնք ժխտում են ցեղասպանությունները:

Պատկերացնու՞մ եք, Հայաստանի այսօրվա իշխանությունները փաստացի ժխտում են հայոց ցեղասպանությունը՝ ոչ միայն երկրից դուրս չհետապնդելով այն ճանաչման հեռանկարն ու առաքելությունը, այլ նաև երկրի ներսում պատժելով ցեղասպանության ինստիտուտի տնօրենին՝ հեռացնելով նրան  պաշտոնից: Եվրոպական Միությունը մեզ չի խաբում, մեզ չի խոստանում եվրոպական ապագա, մեզ խաբում է Նիկոլը, իսկ եվրոպացիները դա ընդամենը ողջունում են»,- նշել է նա:
