Ucom Fellowship 2025 Concludes as Top Eco-Startups Secure Funding

Ucom and Impact Hub Yerevan have concluded the 2025 cycle of the Ucom Fellowship Incubation Program. During the closing event held at Impact Hub Yerevan, nine innovative startups presented the projects they developed to the professional jury over the course of a year, highlighting their progress and solutions aimed at sustainable development.

This year-long initiative was designed to support a new generation of Armenian green innovators developing technological solutions for environmental sustainability, including green energy, agrotech, eco-tourism, and the circular economy. Over the course of the fellowship, participants benefited from individual coaching, intensive mentorship sessions, and unique networking opportunities.

“At Ucom, we believe that green technologies can become an important driver of sustainable development. Through the Ucom Fellowship Program, we support initiatives that not only propose innovative ideas but also provide practical solutions for environmental protection and Armenia’s sustainable development. We are pleased to see how these innovative ideas are turning into real initiatives and are confident that many of them will become important contributors to our country’s future green economy,” said Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom.

“Our partnership with Ucom has been instrumental in providing a launchpad for Armenia’s most promising green entrepreneurs. During this period, we have witnessed the transformation of our fellows as they developed their innovative concepts into viable, impact-driven enterprises. We are incredibly proud of the progress these teams have made and are excited to see their solutions come to life in the market,” said Tijay Jeghelian, Programs Director at Impact Hub Yerevan.

Now in its second year, the Ucom Fellowship Program is the result of a long-standing and productive partnership between Ucom and Impact Hub Yerevan. The 2025 cohort featured a diverse array of up-and-coming enterprises, including Eco Habit, Zenith Academy, Grant Legacy, ReSoma, Bee Green, SUNHOME Guesthouse, Kensahumus, 4Green, and SeElabUS. These participants demonstrated significant growth, developing scalable solutions that tackle a wide range of sustainability challenges.

Their initiatives span a wide spectrum of modern green innovation from circular economy waste management and plant-based textile development to AI-driven energy optimization, eco-tourism, and specialized technical education, all aimed at fostering a more resilient and ecologically responsible future for Armenia.

After much deliberation, the jury selected three winners; Gohar Harutyunyan — Eco Habit (production of carpets from nylon tights manufacturing waste), Karina Manukyan — SUNHOME Guesthouse (an environmentally sustainable accommodation in Stepanavan, Lori), and Armine Babayan — Bee Green (fully biodegradable beeswax wraps). Each of them received financial support of 400,000AMD to move forward with the next stage of developing their initiatives.

Building on the success of the programs, the third cycle of the Ucom Fellowship Program is scheduled to launch in April 2026, with a fresh call for applications to be announced soon.
